Helloo, i'm back. Sorry for the delay haha, i was too tired from camp and lazy.
Anyway, SWAPS was a blast!!! Not in terms of games even though they were above average, but the poeple and the atmosphere. Everyone i met there were crazy, nice, fun-loving everything! I had a realli great time there! Plus the camp was informative, telling us wat pysch and social work is and what cors was all about. Well, here's a day by day account:
1st day, 13th July, Tuesday
I was suppose to meet my OG at 8.30am, but i was there like 8.05am. In the end, my OG only got together like 9.15am haha. Met shaun, yuzhen, cheryl and shuhui, and also our crazier than crazy OGL charlie. June came later. We boarded the bus to NUS. Got there, got our keys to our rooms, check in. Realli like the rooms, cosy and quiet. The bathrooms were realli clean too so that's like a thumbs up haha. The good thing was that our whole OG was situated on the ground floor, so it's realli easy to meet up with one another. Finished unpacking, had some initiation games ie icebreakers, got floury, got phone numbers haha, then off we went to clean up and lunch. not that whoohoo fun. but then later, we came up with cheers (or rather charlie and his 'de' and hokkien cheers), had a bit of practice with waltz which we were suppose to use during our finale night, then we had more games. Went around campus(bloody hell lots of stairs!!), playing station games. Our group is gooooodd. haha even though we have only like, what, 2 guys and 8 girls, we still won 5 out of 6 games! One guy si yang always MIA, cos he has to drive home every afternoon and evening to water his plants and do housework.-_-(dun ask mi where that came from) anyway, yea, we had the fastest timing, the most amount of balloons etc. whoohooo! Then we went over to SRC for telematch. Guess what, haha, though we were last in the beginning, we ended up second whoo! haha, albiet in a haphazard way, all thanks to charlie's 'shuffle shuffle!!!' Later it rained, and there was lighting(eeee). we entertain ourselves before the rain subsided and we went back to wash up and have dinner. Then, there they revealed who our ranger was. As our camp had the theme of some medieval adventure, each clan ie. og, had an experienced ranger hiding among us to help us out ie. another perm facci. we had to guess who he or she was.. haha i was right.. it was june lol. She's very good at hiding her identity though haha. After dinner we had to design our shield, Merial shield. It was also the time where we had to meet our secret pal, blindfolded(all these SDU games.. hai). Met mine, tall, but a very nice guy. had an inkling who he might be but wasn't too sure. Anyway we did our shield, discussed our skit then we had lights out.
2nd day, 14th July, Wendesday
We had a talk in the morning, very informative ones on all the bidding stuff and what pysch and social work's about. We all came out of it enlightened but ever more confused. (u get it..?) then off we went to sentosa!! whoo haha. Had a great time there! Just love walking on the beach barefooted, and trekking along the road and among the trees. Had realli fun games there, which needed loads of team coordination. Realli liked the shipwreck game, the charades and the games involving waterbombs esp the last two games... haha some ppl's aiming can be so darn accurate. got all wet and bruised. also managed to dunk loads of unsuspecting ppl haha. Our OG was termed the nottie one. haha, all charlie's fault eh haha. After that fun filled outing to sentosa we went back to NUS to prepare for our banquet. Had our skit all ready! super throw face kind haha. The good thing but this camp was that everything was free and easy, time was flexible, so it didn't matter if we came back late. The events may be pushed back but noone realli cares, it's all about the fun. After washing up, all of us were dressed realli nicely, skirts, dresses, pants, etc. had a nice buffet, did our skit which we won best performance!! whoo! MERIAL! haha. Later got back to room to wait for our secret pal. i already knew who he was by then, cos i put together the clues he gave haha. Iurns out he was one of the faccis of our og, beng chong or now known as clever pig. had a good time talking with him and dancing tho i kept stepping on his toes :p(sorrrie) Had fun during q&a haha cos wateva qns they asked, we had asked each other like way earlier. All the rudimentary qns. Then after that finale thing, we all head off to first level, and played heart attack for like hours!!! We only slept at 4.30am. But we had a blast!!! I have NEVER laughed so hard and so long for a very long time... i laughed till my throat hurts man..haha. It was super fun.
3rd day, 15th July, Thursday
The last day of camp. My og was quite sad cos hai it's the last day afterall. We woke, we pack and went to the hall for debrief. Had a darn good time hitting and laughing while waiting. There was a prize presentation ceremony, Charlie got best of the best facci!!! WHOO haha, that's cos he's mad haha. and i got best camper for my og. thanks guys!!! didn't expect it. nvm. had the ribbon ceremony, realli sad that we all had to leave, we all gave our final tots, and our faccis passed us photos and messages. After that we broke camp, went to the deck to eat, had a good time taking to yuzhen shaun and clever pig. then went with shaun to check out rag dance. not sure if i wanna join tho.
Anyway all in all, it was a realli fun camp to be in. It was not competitive at all, everything was at its own pace, ppl were just there to have fun and get to know people. My OG was a blast too. Made some good friends like yuzhen cheryl shuhui(fellow ARASHI lover!!) meihui, shaun elaine fanny clever pig charlie june and got to know the other faccis. It was our interaction within ourseleves that left a lasting impression in my mind, the silly games we played by ourselves, ie the stripping game the animal game, the ow orbit game(i still have bruises....) the heart attack( the best i played so far). we had a great time laughing and playing with each other! plus it was great to live just beside each other like neighbours, asking for help and getting each other to wake one another up! realli glad our seniors were super nice friendly outgoing and mad too. Will miss SWAPS, hopefully we'll get together for an outing soooon!! Merial RAWKS!
okay other news... I GOT INTO SHEARES!! whoohoo haha damn excited. yihui got in too! now have to start preparing to move in.. can't wait, but there's still some trepidation, cos i heard once u're in hall it's super shiong ah well, i'll take one day as it goes. Got to get a pda soon, all these uni stuff is making my white hairs grow. sigh also i have another camp to go to this monday but not realli looking forward to it... long story. the only reason that propels mi to continue with it is the og... hai. have to see how, cos now with the new hostel, i have so much things to do, plus my dad's leaving on thursday, not a very good timing. we'll see how.
anyway sorry for the long rambling.. oh yar ALBRIEX WON ON TUESDAY!! whoo i was on my edge of the seat the whole time during dinner when the game was on. Yuki and Nori were great! u go guys! anyway yea yea i'll stop rambling. see ya guys soon...!
