Anime Expo '06

Ah, I hate it when I've been gone so long that so much has happened that I'm unable to type it all. Anime expo was last weekend, and it was an awesome experience once again. It felts like being with family; Hasanka goofed around with Andrew and I tickled him to near-death several times- I swear, that lad is like my own little brother since I've known him so long. Ruwanka and I would shake are heads and grin when Andrew and Craig would start playfully fighting. I almost had the best time just sitting in the hotel room and watching my 'family'.

I bought $200 copic markers since I've been drawing a lot lately. I can't wait to have the time to practice with them. :D Andrew ands I got our portraits done as Anime characters, and it turned out so well (I'll try and take a picture and post it). We went to AX Idol '06 this year and it was awesome- I think I'll attend next year as well. Speaking of which, next years Anime Expo is in Long Beach and Andy and I will be heading out there soon to check out hotels.

My neice died recently, and I was given the news just before Anime Expo. The day after AX was the funeral, and it was the first I've been to. Little Arionne died from SIDS at 2 months, and I feel so sad for my sister that I don't know what to do to comfort her. Her and Mike are so happy together and Mike is such a genuinely nice person that I can't stand to see this happen to them. I went to the funeral with Andrew, and I was horrified to see that I was the only one there that had the same blood as my sister.. She looked over at me when I sat down next to her with tear-filled eyes and asked if any of our family was coming besides me and my father. It broke my heart to tell her that I didn't know. I hated my mother right then. And if you know me personally, you know I'm not a big fan of my mother as it is.. but the crap she pulled with her grand-daughter dying is just unacceptable. It may have been better that she didn't attend, though, since she doesn't particularly know how to deal with her emotions, so her sadness turns to outright anger. At any rate.. I was able to make Michelle smile afterwards, and it make me (and I hope her) feel a little better. My prayers will be with her during this time, and I hope that the Lord will be there to comfort her where I was not.

Tomorrow is a Role-Playing session on World of Warcraft. Andy and I are appointing two Masters into the guild. Steve (Mishakan) will be promoted to the Hunter Master and his girlfriend Anne (Kachira) will be promoted to the Shaman Master. I bought a wedding dress for Kachira so that the ceremony will be a tad more professional-looking, and I'm having our friend Pam (Shavaca) make Steve a tuxedo suit that I'm making him wear. :P So everything should be fun. Then... Molten Core right after! Huzzah.

Yikes, I'll need to clean the apartment tomorrow as well. I was supposed to do so today, but Pirates 2 was way too tempting. GO SEE IT!!! It was awesome!!!

I love you all- have a good weekend!

((PS: Keep updates for pictures of AX '06! I just need to get them off the digital camera. :P))
