For the first time in the History of Israel, a woman's basketball club
wins an European title. The first men's club to do so was Maccabi Tel-Aviv, that I root for ever since, in 1977.
The title has been won in a two-game series, home and away, between the French club and the Israeli one, with the first game in Ramla ending in a tie. People feared that playing the decider away from home would hurt the team, but they proved they deserve the title and won on French soil.
