Holy Dragons - Железный рассудок (2009)

Another average release from former USSR. Before listening to it, I thought Mr. Strike would get some company at the bottom of my chart, but Holy Dragons made much better album than I expected. But not good enough to compete with power and heavy metal grands. There are some good songs but voice is very, hm, strange and unpleasant. Besides, lyrics - also lacks sense.

Shadow Mignon - Midnight Sky Masquerade (2009)
Genre: Heavy metal, heavy power metal, progressive heavy metal
Country: Germany
Here we have simple heavy metal with slight influence of progressive and power made by german Manowar worshipers, as I thought after first 3 songs. But soon I realized that this release is more complicated, more interesting, not another copy of Kings' albums. Of course, we can find out some shortcomings here, but it is not so important, I suppose. Album is solid and interesting. They even have ballads, which do not make me hate every minute wasted listening to them!

Sphinx - Призрак (2009)
Genre: Power metal, gothic power metal
Country: Russia
Unfortunately this russian release is also rather useless. Voice is very good and music is not so bad as it could be, but i can hardly remember any track from this album. It means - we have no hits here and probably no songs worth listening. But if you are looking for some beutiful metal to play as a background for relaxation - this is for you.
