"At a Michigan primary campaign appearance on 14 January 2008, Huckabee said 'I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view.'"
It makes me apprehensive that people actually would vote for Mike Huckabee. The first settlers came to America with religious freedom as a tenet of a new society. Or so we were taught in high school. Doesn't anybody pay attention in history class? How could you vote for a hypocrite that wants to amend the very principles that our country was founded on? Let alone the fact that he believes the earth is 6000 years old.
Is this really the country I live in?
Oh, the quote is from Wikipedia. Remember life without it? Me neither.
