Elphaba lives!
The following icons were made after reading Gregory Maguire's newest book, Son of a Witch. I just can't help but be inspired by such a magnificent character as Elphaba, even though she isn't even alive in the above mentioned book; her shadow is cast all over, and her absence is felt just as strongly in Son of a Witch as her presence is in Wicked.
The art, by Douglas Smith, is scanned from the cover of this book, as well as that of Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. The caption "witch nation" is a reference to events in Son of a Witch.
