It had to happen...
XSpikeRedDragonX: Spike felt restless beneath the covers of Yuuko's nice warm bed. The last few days hadnt been kind to Spike, and he could feel a gentle breeze go across his bare chest, which was weird, because they hadnt left any windows open. He leaned over to the nightstand and reached for his cigarettes.
ElvisIsACajun: Yuuko had been asleep. Only for an hour or so hough, and it had felt as if it had been at least six hours. The poor house hold had not been in the best of conditions. Not at all. "Spike?" She sat up slightly in the darkness and reached over to the night-stand, taking the box of cigarettes. "you left them behind the lamp," she said and placed them in his hand.
XSpikeRedDragonX: "Christ" Spike grumbled, taking them from her. He removed one from the pack, lit one up and tossed them back on the nightstand."I really am losing my mind arent I?" Spike asked, the light from the cigarette being the only illumination in the room.
ElvisIsACajun: She smiled just a little at that. "not really," she whispered leaning against him. "You have alot going on, so it's okay."
XSpikeRedDragonX: Spike put his free arm around her, leaning against her. Feeling her warmth against his, he took another drag off his cigarette."We need to talk about that...I've been meaning to tell you what its about..."
ElvisIsACajun: She yawned and settle happily into his arms, tryign to maybe wake up. "This late... Hmm... Tha tmust have been keeping you up.."
XSpikeRedDragonX: Spike put the cigarette in the ashtray for a moment, leaned over and kissed her forehead."Its whats been keeping me up for days...the fact that I'm in love and the last time I was in love, that woman died a horrible death."
ElvisIsACajun: Yuuko smiled and leaned against him, paying attention to the touch of his lips against her. "I'm stronger than that... I'm different."
XSpikeRedDragonX: "I know..." Spike said, resting against her."But Vicious thinks you're the same...I took something from him that he had lost before...and he's making me suffer for it. I thought it would end there, but I was apparently wrong."
ElvisIsACajun: Yuuko pulled back and smiled to him. "Spike... look at me...." She pulled back, letting herself illuminate in the moonlight. "I'm alive... And I'm well."
XSpikeRedDragonX: "So was she." Spike ran a hand through her hair."Until one rainy night when he took that all away from me...and ther was nothing I could do."
ElvisIsACajun: "Well you two were also seperated, you know... We're in a very different situation, " she whispered closing her eyes.
XSpikeRedDragonX: "I know,"Spike pulled her a bit closer."But I'm also more deeply in love with you than I was with her. But he didnt kill just one person that night...he killed three."
ElvisIsACajun: A hand came to rest on his chest and she moved herself in closer till she was up against him full and leaned her head on him. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "I'll stay with you though. I beleive in fate."
XSpikeRedDragonX: "I do too," Spike nodded."And I'll be with you to the very end...which is why I need to protect you and Goku. Vicious wants me to suffer, and you two are the most important people in my life right now." He reached back over for his cigarette."As long as I'm here and he's alive, he'll keep coming"

ElvisIsACajun: Even as Spike reached for the cigarettes, Yuuko slinked her arms around him adn smiled. "Love you too... Just let me help if you need it, Spike...."

XSpikeRedDragonX: Spike cuddled up closer to her."I love you. Which is why I'm going to solve my problem now and not let him get at either one of you. "

ElvisIsACajun: "Hmmm...Chivalry is not dead," Yuuko mumbled against his chest and kissed it lightly, slinking her arms about him more.
XSpikeRedDragonX: 'He already took away my life once, " Spike said softly, kissing her cheek and running a hand across her back."He wont get a second chance."
ElvisIsACajun: "You're a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for."
XSpikeRedDragonX: "I trained him to be the way he is,"Spike softly said, putting out the cigarette and slinking back down into the bed."And he's the coldblooded killer side of me I want to forget"
ElvisIsACajun: "You trained him?" She asked, looking up and ready for a story, leaning into him, holding his hand. He was starting to look like he was fading like a cloud.
XSpikeRedDragonX: Spike nodded."He was my trainee in the Red Dragon way back when I was a bounty hunter...but he was much much more relentless than I was...he was just a killer. Nothing else but causing pain mattered to him."
ElvisIsACajun: "Tha'ts sad... He must have been a unhappy child," Yuuko whisppered. "I guess you go an interesting one to train..."
XSpikeRedDragonX: "Eventually he and I duked it out after his woman left him for me...I won, but just barely," Spike continued, the story reverberating in his memory."I should have finished him then...but I showed mercy because he was like a brother to me."
ElvisIsACajun: She smiled. "And he killed her?"
XSpikeRedDragonX: "yeah...and my unborn child...and almost me." Spike said, cuddling her closer."A part of me died that night with them...a part that you and Goku are replacing."
ElvisIsACajun: "I'm glad your letting my love take you as a hostage then.... On reflection, while I cannot give you the thing itself, I can give you my love... But you already have that."
XSpikeRedDragonX: "I am a willing hostage for your love," Spike said, his voice lowering to a whispr."Which is why I'm still here. And want to remain here, with you by my side."
ElvisIsACajun: She chuckled. "I'm happy to go along iwth that. We do what we must. Sometimes we can choose the path we follow. Sometimes our choices are made for us. And sometimes we have no choice at all."
XSpikeRedDragonX: "My path has been set for me to deal with this," Spike nodded in agreement,"Its something I must deal with from my past."
ElvisIsACajun: "haha, yeah... One thing I learned by being a witch is you can know anything. It's all there. You just have to find it." Yuuko looked up to Spike in the darkness and tried to find his eyes, her own a much brighter red.
XSpikeRedDragonX: Spike found her lips instead. He kissed her ever so softly,and so gently in a loving embrace."Dont worry about me...you have my promise I'll be back."
ElvisIsACajun: She kissed back adn it seemed to brake all too soon. "You sure i can't help?"
XSpikeRedDragonX: "Absolutely not." Spike said, running a hand along the side of her face."I made the problem on my own, I'll deal with him on my own. Just promise me you'll always be here."
ElvisIsACajun: "HmMMMMMMM" Yuuko pouted. "God....DAMMIT." She gripped the covered. "You are... utterly the stupidest, most self-centered, appalingest excuse for an art teacher in this or any other world!" She looked aside, gripping the cover even more in her hands, enough to feel her nails against her palms even through the thickness. "I don't mean that...Of course I"ll be here... You're not stupid... I'm just thinking too much," she siad looking away.
XSpikeRedDragonX: "Obviously you're right, " Spike pulled himself out of bed."I'm ignorant for not letting the love of my life getting involved when the last time, it nearly got us both killed."
ElvisIsACajun: Yuuko put her hand right out and grabbed Spike's arm pulling him back and pulled him in close, shutting her eyes. "I'm sorry please don't leave me... Just not right now, even if I hurt you, I'm sorry... It's hard to think that I would rather than than let you get killed... But if I let that happen I would hurt you still..."
XSpikeRedDragonX: "You made me sound like an idiot and a coward." Spike sat up next to her, trying not to pull himself too far from her embrace."I couldnt face myself if I lost you."
ElvisIsACajun: "Well being self-centered isn't being a coward at all... I'm stupid myself," she said pulling back. "I doubt I'm any wiser than I was five hundred years back. I'm older. I've been up, and been down, and been up again. Have I learned aught? I've learned from my mistakes, But I've had more time to commit more mistakes." A heavy sigh and Yuuko looked down. "And out of those those years I'm finding that You're the first I don't want to lose more than anyone."
XSpikeRedDragonX: Spike knew the question was coming. It had to be now or never."Yuuko...marry me."
ElvisIsACajun: "......" She looked up a little surprised. Dumbfounded and touched was the look written on her face. "Did I ever tell you that in those five hundred years I've never been asked that either? I...." It.. made enough sense. "Yes..."
XSpikeRedDragonX: "This way you know I'll come back..."Spike smiled."And I'll be bringing a ring with me."
ElvisIsACajun: Yuuko smiled and came back over closer to him. "You don't need to bring a ring," she said feeling her eyes grow warm. She touched her face. Oh god, her cames teh tears.
XSpikeRedDragonX: He hugged her and held her there for what seemed like an eternity."There is a first time for everything..."
ElvisIsACajun: "Fo both of us?" she asked.
XSpikeRedDragonX: "For both of us." Spike smiled."After all is said and done...all that'll be left is right here and right now with you. I promise."
ElvisIsACajun: She lightly bopped her fist against his chest. "You had better come back now... Giving that question and now..."
XSpikeRedDragonX: "And now...shall we consumate the engagement?" Spike smiled, leaning closer to her.
ElvisIsACajun: Yuuko snorted. "Is that all you've been waiting for?" she asked jokingly.
XSpikeRedDragonX: "of course not," Spike smiled, pulling the covers back over the both of them."Its an added bonus to something already wonderful..."
ElvisIsACajun: "you mean a happy ending right? You want a back rub first, Mr, Spike?" Yuuko asked tapping his nose.
XSpikeRedDragonX: "A VERY happy ending" Spike smiled, turning over so she'd have full access to him.
