you sold me. if you could send me a more complete list of available albums in this vein, or a website, or something, i would be interested in investing a bit into this style, after having dabbled in napalm death, carcass, and the like.

I think the only "big" acoustic black metal band is Carpathian Forest.

oh i didn't mean that i needed some acoustic black metal, per se. i was talking about the lots & lots of bands advertised on that link, in the comp, etc. i'll just read up on it all myself.

well the only grind (napalm death being grind, carcass being goregrind) that is on SHR is the demo from Crusher, who I don't beleive have a website.
As for the comp (which is mostly crust and similar heavy rawpunk stuff), Iskra employs vocals and drumming commonly seen in grind.

If you wanna hear more stuff check out Heresy or Warsore. And I don't know if you are well versed in powerviolence but that's what I dig when it comes to grind-y stuff. So that would be bands like Hellnation, Fuck on the Beach, Spazz, Kent Brockman, ACxDC, BastardAss, or Plutocracy.
I don't mean to be categorical. I mean rwpunk is fucking rawpunk and chances are if you dig one band you dig the other regardless of differences in style.
