slackness

yep...nearly a year that is SLACK. I keep meaning to get back to this journal but can't seem to find the time. Yes I have facebook but, that isn't the same thing. I don't feel like I can post a lot of what I really feel sometimes because well, I KNOW the people on facebook lol. I get to see most of them in real life nearly every day or at least every week!

Anyway, in the last year we have had our house on the market, yes, it is just new but we decided to sell house and perhaps buy a local business. However, our house hasn't sold (with the downturn in economy) so we are looking at taking it off the market and perhaps still looking into buying the local hardware shop so I will keep working in an office and Dean can run that.

Things at home are good. I wouldnt say fabulous but when is anyone truly happy? You have moments of happiness and times of joy but sadness comes with that also. Anger too.

Last year both my Grandparents passed away. They were a ripe old age but it was still sad to say goodbye. I am glad I got to see them both with the kids before they got really really sick. I will miss my Grandpa's war stories.

Geoffrey and Grandpa had a great chat about footy at our last visit and he showed Alena Grandma's Netball trophies that he keeps sitting on the microwave.

Alena has come off the Insulin Pump, it proved to be too much work for her. I can understand why. She was great with calculating carbs, entering in meals, corrections, etc but she wasn't so great at doing her fingerprick tests and the pump is only a machine, it is a fabulous machine, but it needs the information entered into it to work properly.

She has grown into a lovely looking girl (must come from her Dad's side) lol and even though she dolls herself up, she has balls and won't let anyone trod on her.

Geoffrey has turned into a real sports fanatic, he started basketball last summer and loved it. Played cricket too. We are at start of footy season over here and he also plays golf on weekends with his Dad and social bowls as well. AS LONG AS HE DOES HIS HOMEWORK.

My sister got married in March this year, that was a fabulous time. I felt frumpy and old the whole day though lol. I really need to get on the diet and exercise treadmill and do something to change myself. I will. I just have to keep stop making excuses to myself.

Hugs to all and hope everyone is well. I am on facebook, Kim Mulrooney (which funnily enough is my real name) If you want to add me feel free :)

xx
