I am having a wonderful time in Ireland. I flew out of los angeles at 430 pm on friday and tried my best to sleep on the plane. I was lucky and had the whole row of seats to my own so I laid down and watched movies. I arrived in Ireland at 12:30 pm on Saturday and was picked up by my sister and her fiance, Jerry. We went to a gorgeous church and saw a lot of castles and hit the pub right away. After a pint, we went to Jerry's familys house and I met my future family-in-law and his mom was the sweetest woman i ever met. She even made me a special vegan risotto because she knew I was vegan and it was soo incredibly good and she gave me the rest to take back to my sisters house! After dinner and some tea, my sister and I met Jerry at the pub that his father owns, which is nextdoor to their house. His father runs the pub and his mother runs the Bed &Breakfast which is also nextdoor. Anyway, we met up with some of Jerrys friends and had another pint there, then we went to another pub and another pub and by the end of the night, I had been to 5 pubs and crashed a wedding reception and was completely wasted and it was only my first night. Today I slept in until noon and woke up and Jerrys mom had baked scones and made some vegan just for me and homemade blackberry jam. I am still recovering from the jetlag and drunkeness of last night. In a short while, we are going to walk to the grocery to get some food for dinner and relax.
