This has been an incredibly busy summer. I'm working 4 days a week then interning 2 days a week in San Francisco. The internship is going very well which is a good thing. I really like what I do there and feel like I am pretty helpful to them. I was in Las Vegas this past week and had a great time. Your basic lots of drinking and losing money playing video poker. We went to the Ghost Bar at the Palms the 1st night and then the Moon Bar the same night in the Palms as well and Chino from Deftones was there because it was an afterparty for the show in The Pearl which is a new venue in the Palms.
I saw Battles play Monday at Slim's and they were incredible and then on Thursday I saw Band of Horses at Great American Music Hall and they were amazing too. Band of Horses sound so good live it's chilling. They played at least 3 or so new songs from their album that comes out in October. A good friend of mine and his lady are moving to Seattle next week which is kind of sad but exciting for him and I'm sure I'll visit in the Spring once I'm finished with school.
I started watching all of the Planet Earth BBC dvd's and they're incredible. Unfortunately I'm stuck without watching the 1st one because it's a "Very Long Wait" on netflix, haha. The last disc is incredibly sad on what is happening to our earth. Figures that today is when all the Live Earth concerts are happening and I hit a sparrow on my drive home, completely bummed me out.
On a happier note, I found out that all 7/11's are selling Simpson's EZ Mart products like Buzz Soda, I bought a 6-pack and it's kind of like cream soda and cola.
I went to the Marin Fair on Tuesday and saw the Village People and KC & the Sunshine Band which was kind of fun since I didn't know either were playing when I went with family.
I'm going to try to be more healthy and start working out. I keep saying that to myself but I'm going to actually do it. I haven't really done anything athletic in probably 3 years or so at least which is sad since I played soccer for 15 years and ran cross country all through high school.
Have a good 7/7/07 though it feels like a 6/6/06 after hitting a bird with my car.
