Flying and Writing

I'm back from Montreal. It was a great time! I will move that up to first place in my list of favorite cities to visit...even above Manhattan. But as nice as travel is, it's also nice to come home. Xadeau was definitely glad to have me back.

I finished reading "Running with Scissors" on the return flight. I love books like this. It reaffirms my love for writing. The way the author uses clever turns of phrase, embellishes life events for dramatic effect, and yet weaves a fun story of his growing up as a gay teen...it was brilliance. It was also interesting to see how he used to love to write growing up, yet never considered writing as a possible career choice. I can definately relate. Now if I could just make my life sound as interesting as he makes his sound. No, wait. I think I like my life just the way it is, kinda normal and boring.

I think I'm one of those 'aspiring writers' who loves to write, but doesn't know what to write about, at least to a point of something I would want to try to market to a large audience. Oh well, "someday..."
