'Grandma's House' S02 E02:

I think my favourite thing about 'Grandma's House' is how tightly every episode is written.  There are so many bits of dialogue and little jokes that go right over my head on first viewing.  If you're not watching each episode at least twice, I'd say you're missing out on quite  a bit.  And I can't even explain why some of my favourite bits made me laugh so much.

- Grandma's oblivious hoovering.  I love that she's not bothered in the slightest by Simon lying on the floor.
- Seeing Simon Amstell's thin legs for the second week in a row.  Is this semi-nudity going to be a recurring theme?
- Grandma's compliment on Barry's coat: 'It's nice and brown!'
- 'Liz said that dairy thickens your mucus.'
- Description of Martine McCutcheon as 'the yoghurt woman'.
- The Shakespeare references - I hope I'm at a quiz one day and someone asks the question 'what is the name of Prospero's servant in 'The Tempest'?, and now I know.
- The seduction conversation in the loft. Cringe.
- 'What are you going as in Mum's tracksuit?'   'Duh, Uma Thurman?'
- Rebecca Front is just brilliant and the relationship between her and Simon is so well-written and natural.
- The grudge about the Dictaphone - 'to make my jingles' - and Barry's own grudge about the dog poo.
- The fact that Clive thinks the best way to show his vulnerability is to take his tooth out.
- Poor Liz in her fancy dress costume being completely ignored - so pitiful you almost feel bad for laughing.
- 'Who meets up for a coffee? We're not some ridiculous women in a TV show!'
- I like the role reversal between Tanya and Liz - Tanya was so smug in Series 1 with her fancy wedding ring and her trip to Vegas, and now she's single again and Liz is loving it.
- Clive coming off as the good guy, but only in comparison with Barry.

Also need to catch up on 'Russell Howard', and '8 Out of 10 Cats' starts again tonight, and there's a QI on, plus 'Would I Lie To You'.
