Going through a bit of a Charlie Brooker phase at the moment. I think times of stress must bring out the sarcastic, shouty cynic in me. Unfortunately not as witty as CB though. Also my hair is not as good.
- Finished reading 'The Hell Of It All' - a compilation of Guardian columns. Muchly enjoyed it. Parts actually made me laugh out loud - see notes about the Chinese Olympics.
- Channel 4 have commissioned him to write a
'satirical drama series'. Will definitely be looking forward to that. Remind self to finally get round to watching 'Dead Set'.
- And last but not least, this lovely thing:
Baftas 2011 Stars in Pictures. CB looking pretty good there. Oh so dramatic. Enjoy the meaninglessly abstract pose, people. ENJOY IT. Also enjoy the caption-y/description-y thing-y: "his hair, which on telly can look like the ghost of a stray cat, hovering above his elastic face, appears elegantly pouffed." Oh aren't you so witty.
(I conveniently have a Charlie Brooker tag. Clearly from the last time I was stressed.)
(Also: On my mood theme, surely 'stressed' should be the same as 'worried' and 'gloomy', as opposed to 'angry' and 'annoyed'? It's definitely the former rather than the latter.)
