So, I'm coming to this late, but wow. Just wow. Amazing story. I've read all the ones you posted, but this is my favorite, though I probably shouldn't be admitting that, 'cause it's the darkest.

I told myself I would NOT read this pairing, ever, because it just seemed so wrong. And your story totally gets and amplifies how wrong it is and why it's wrong, with a perfect grasp of these characters, and leaves me with a better understanding of why I find their canon relationship so fucked-up and compelling.

I actually stumbled on it while looking for Jesse/Mike, which doesn't exist to my knowledge and would no doubt also be horribly wrong, but perhaps in a sweet way. I'm not sure. I'm not sure I want to find out enough to write it myself.

I read this before the new season started, and I was kind of worried it would affect my view of the characters.

TINY SPOILERS FOR S5: But turns out that isn't an issue, since canon Walt is actually acting even creepier than your Walt is (albeit nonsexually with Jesse, but sexually with Skyler). You show very well how the pendulum of power relations swings back and forth between them, even if Walt usually ends up on top. That's what I'm waiting for ... the swing back, that is. I can't stand much more of Jesse apologizing! It's terrifying how he feels more in control when he knows what Walt wants from him (as you put it perfectly). Not sure how much longer I can take seeing him that way.

Thanks so much for the review. This is my favorite of my stuff, too. I'm glad the characterization feels right.

Where they are right now in canon is driving me nuts, too. It's on the surface exactly as sweet as I've always longed for, but so fucked up underneath it all.

There actually is some Jesse/Mike out there. Pay a visit to bb_slash. Some of it might be behind members-lock.
