12.000 words. This is my favourite of short stories set in the Demon’s Lexicon ’verse. It’s about Jamie’s ex-best friend, Mark Skinner, and set on a not so normal school day before the events of the book. Since Mark is quite worried that Jamie is going to tell someone about those times where they kissed we get a lot of Jamie backstory, including a scene where we can see how Annabel always loved her children.
