More than Arthur finding out, Merlin is forced to reveal his secret rather violently to save Gaius life (which was apparently at risk because Merlin's secret was known by Uther and he wanted to extract his location). When Arthur climbs the unending stairs of the tower for him, Merlin rather missinterprets his motives.
It's amazing how Astolat manages to tackle the issue of how much responsability Arthur bears in the middle of bondage and to make it part of the connection he has with Merlin (although not a necessary part). Not my favourite, but then again, it's too short.
