Summary: Because, really, why wouldn’t the slash dragon’s fire create a slash sword?
Comments: 10.000w. Merlin takes Arthur to the lake to get Excalibur back and Excalibur gets campy on them. Kinky sex turns into a nice, funny story with lines as the following:
“I had no idea for three months, maybe. And then it was always, ‘Oh Arthur, look, all of their crossbows must have jammed at the exact same time! What a coincidence!’ Or, ‘Oh Arthur, look, it started raining just in this part of the forest, just in time to put this fire out! How lucky!’ Or, oh, remember that time you fought off a dozen bandits and then tried to convince me I ate some bad chicken and hallucinated the whole thing?”
Arthur pitches his voice as high as it will go to imitate Merlin, and accompanies the impersonations with an exaggerated expression of faux-innocence, all wide eyes and pursed lips. It’s not in any way an accurate representation of any expression Merlin has ever made, but it’s not entirely without appeal. The pursed lips, in particular, are quite nice.
Still. “I do not sound like that. And the chicken thing-all right, maybe that was a bit much. But you believed me!”
“No, no I really didn’t. No one in the world would have believed that.”
“But you didn’t say anything!”
“Only because I thought we had a tacit agreement! I knew, and I thought you knew that I knew, and I thought we were just pretending nobody knew anything! I didn’t realize you actually didn’t know anything!”
