When the dragon chucks an egg at Merlin's head Arthur first tries to open it to see what's inside but later decides that they can't possibly get abandone it in the forest because it would grow up and cause trouble, thus starts the boys' adventure at parenting. Although the dragonet is important, it's mostly a cathalyst for their relationship and that is, if a bit of the short side, gorgeously depicted.
