I do #1!! I also have a penchant for laptops with "clickety" keyboards, if that makes sense, because somehow it just makes the process of writing or doing work more fulfilling/tolerable.

I like #10. Sometimes it feels like people accomplish things just to prove something to others (or even to themselves), or to gain some sort of status.

I completely understand what you mean about "clickety" keyboards. Thus I like my laptop better than my roommate's.
