I thought it was Thursday...? I don't know, I'm reading it by then to be safe, but I might be wrong.

I'm sure you already know I think your essay sounds amazing. Nice choice for who to write about.

I totally relate to the whole not wanting to do anything this weekend. We all need a break from work and this 5-day weekend is basically the deep breath before the plunge for all of us. Relax while you can.

Aww you bum! You're not gonna be there for the chem party! Which reminds me...we really need to crack down and figure out this Group IV project. It's due on the 5th, along with a million other things along the way for other classes, so plannning it early would be a good idea.

Thanks on the essay. Yeah, we really do need to work on the Group IV. Next weekend? Maybe during our chem party we can toss ideas around, at least.

Wait a sec...aren't you doing the lab on Thursday? The rest of us will be there on Tuesday.

I'm signed up for the same time as everyone else...for some reason I thought this was Thursday? Am I losing my mind? (It's okay if I am because it means I have more time to write up my lab.)

Yeah, upon closer examination it makes me wince a little, too...but you can't get to the end without a beginning, and the "western civ" line was what I needed to start the thing...now that I have the body of the essay and it's no longer needed as a prop, I can go back and remove it.
