Lunacon, Sunday

Got home from Lunacon about an hour ago. I'm all unpacked and started doing laundry. (Whoops, gotta go hang the first load. Be right back.)

I had back to back panels this morning, on Organizing Your Studio and The Future of Libraries. They both went well, although the library panel had almost no audience. We started a bit late with only one not-related-to-a-panelist person (the online friend I was chatting with on Friday night) in attendance and a few more trickled in later.

I had arranged a late checkout, so at noon I went back to my room, packed up and took my bags out to the car. Then I went back in to get my things from the art show, both bought by me and unsold from my table.

Art show bidding closed at 11:30, so I wasn't able to check my table for the most active period. My last check, shortly before the first panel, I saw someone putting bids on all four tribbles. (Woot!) When I went in to pack up my unsold art after 1:00, two more items had picked up initial bids (leaving only two of the fourteen unsold!) and there were additional bids on two or three others. It had already been picked up, but one of the people working on the show told me that the Flame cat went to auction. So a *very* successful show. And I didn't get outbid on any of the pieces I wanted to buy (much to my surprise in one case).

I got a little lost coming home--didn't see the sign for the Hutchinson (saw the one for "get in this lane" but never saw the actual exit). Fortunately I had my GPS with me, so I pulled off the expressway and set that up. All told it only added 10 or 15 minutes to my drive; I still made it home in an hour.
