glass class, session 2

Apr 26, 2012 21:08

Tonight's glass fusing class project was described as bowls, but they were actually square, 7" instead of the 10" we did last week. The official project was a bunch of birds on wires, but no more than half the class made those. I opted for a dark blue dolphin (and baby) on white instead, one of the ideas that started spinning in my brain after last week. Another woman made a very nice "stained glass" pattern; that's another of the ideas that I had, although her design was not what I would have made. She obviously has a good eye; her plate from last week showed excellent use of color.

Much to my surprise, some of the plates from last week were finished already, including mine. It came out great. I want to wait until daylight to take a picture; I'll post it this weekend.

Next week is officially jewelry, but we can do something else if we'd rather. I may join one of my classmates in the napkin-holder she wants to try, or I may make another of the plates I have an idea for.
