2011 in first lines

The first line of each post of each month (except where it isn't):

January: Why oh why oh WHY? do I keep having Ideas so much faster than I can possibly finish them?

February: So. This afternoon I answer the phone at the reference desk. It's a woman wanting to know if she can get old New York Times articles from our website.

March: I made buffalo wings today.

April: Last night I ordered a lot of stuffed-animal eyes in unusual colors.

May: (1) I've almost finished making myself a new blouse, mostly as a test to see how it's done.
(2) Okay, now I'm halfway through the fifth season of the Doctor Who revival (just watched "Amy's Choice", having skipped "The Vampires of Venice")--and I'm just not feeling it.

June: The teal tiger blouse, while quite comfortable, is actually a bit too wide in the shoulders (as is the one I copied it from).

July: New record: complete blouse, from cutting out through buttonholes, in less than two days.

August: Part three of the cat stole is a calico.

September: I finished the long-sleeve cat blouse I've been working on.

October: (1) I finished the bar-code monkey.
(2) Apparently the cooler weather is making my asthma a bit worse. [Note: this turned out to be untrue.]

November: I'm going to make Felina's cat hat out of the Party Animal pattern, with a tail hanging down the back, like a coonskin cap, and stubby little legs--paws, really.

December: I left my car at home today because I had an eye doctor appointment after work and can't drive with dilated pupils.

-----------
I did do other things than sew last year, honest!
