May book stats

Jun 02, 2007 17:22

In May I read 36 books, only 13 of them new. That's a new high for re-read percentage. I have a lot of new books backed up, so June should be more normal.

The genre breakdown:

Fantasy: 12
Young Adult: 10
Mystery: 9
Romance: 6
Science Fiction: 5
Suspense: 5
Children's: 1
Short Stories: 1

Most of the mysteries were because I re-read Margaret Maron's entire Sigrid Harald series in one swoosh. They're pretty short, which is one reason the monthly total is so high. (I wish she'd write more. Not that I don't like her Deborah Knott books--I do--but she said she was planning to alternate and she hasn't been. I miss Sigrid. *sniff*) I also continued my re-read of Tamora Pierce's books, which accounts for some of the YA and fantasy. I wasn't in much of a romance-reading mood this month, but I have several coming up next-ish.
