No analysis tonight -- sorry, guys. I haven't been feeling my best today, and I'm too tired to begin.

I've been trying to sketch out an image that's been plaguing me for a while. I found a great stock photos for two of the poses I need. Problem is that one of them is the wrong angle and the wrong perspective, so I've been staring at it intensely for the last twenty minutes or so, trying to visualise it in the correct angle. It's not working -- I suck at visualising. Give me words any day. Still, I'll keep trying. One of my drawing books has a section on perspective which I've been studying, trying to figure out what I'm going to do with this pose.

I'm hoping to actively use the formal elements of art in this picture. Normally I just throw a piece together according to the image in my head, but since I spent the first part of my morning making summaries for the practice exam next week, I thought it would be a good idea to try to create a piece that used some of the theory I've been learning. It'll be interesting to see how well I succeed, since like almost all things, it is a piece of fanart and as such certain aspects are dictated by the character design and the fic it's based on.

I'm honestly not sure whether this is the best time to start an intense project like this. I'm tired, and I'm not going to get any less tired over the next few weeks. Preparation for the exams -- and then the exams themselves -- is more than likely to wear me to the bone. So I'm more likely to get frustrated over this and want to pitch something at the wall rather than work on it effectively. I guess I'll just chip away at it and walk away when it all gets too much.

And if I need to work on something creative and quick, I can always just do more fanart for Memoires.

ETA: I think I got it. Any art critics on here?
