I can't put into words how happy I am that Obama won the election. I think the "change" that this election has revolved around is going to happen. He makes me hopeful for the future of our nation. This really is a historic event. It's a shining example of all that the American Dream can be. I just look at this man and listen to him speak and I see hope. It's like looking at the Kennedy brothers. If you look back at the hope that JFK and Bobby Kennedy instilled in this nation it is not that different than what Obama is doing now. He awoke something within people who didn't care before. He made us all realize that we could change our nation for the better.

The brilliant thing, thought, is that he never really did much mudslinging to the other side. Surprisingly there was little of that in this election altogether. On both sides. I think McCain had no chance. He was too close to Bush. He would have kept the nation essentially the same. It's kind of the definition of Republican. Sure a few things would be different, but the things that need to change would have stayed the same.

I'm happy about many things in the election,  actually. I'm glad that my generation got out to vote; that we realized that we do have a voice and it can be loud if we decide to end our apathetic.

I just am really happy and excited for the next four years. I'm really excited to see Bush leave office in a few months. Seriously though, his acceptance speech just had me in tears.

Sorry if this isn't coherent. I can't really think straight right now. I'm too shell-shocked by the step our country has taken.
