Yes! Genji has not yet skanked on Akikonomu! This is as far as I've read, though, so maybe he will next chapter.

I also very much enjoyed the art contest. That's exactly the sort of historic, scene-setting detail that I particularly like when reading old novels.

I would hope that since Akikonomu is the consort of his son, and since he made a promise to the Rokujo lady, he won't. I realize that individually neither would necessarily stop him, but he'd really be sinking very low indeed if both together didn't have some effect.
