Band CD Cover Facebook Meme

This is a meme going around Facebook. Facebook's uploader deal isn't working with me tonight(at least, I don't think so. Someone let me know if this image shows up there), so I thought I'd post it here. I'll post the directions, and then post my tweaking of the directions and give credit where it's due.

1 - Go to wikipedia and hit random. The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band. 2 - Go to quotationspage.com and hit random. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album. 3 - Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”. Third picture no matter what it is, will be your album cover. 4 - Use photoshop or similar (picnik.com is a free online photo editor) to put it all together. 5 - Post it with this text in the "caption" and TAG the friends you want to join in

Okay, the first two of these are applicable, but the last quote on my page was not one suitable for quoting(in my opinion), so I hit the reload button to get new quotes(just going to the page again doesn't work). My quote is actually one by G.K. Chesterton, I was glad to note. Love Chesterton. The full quote is actually "Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese".

Now, the part with flickr is where these directions get tricky. Many of the images uploaded to flickr are copyrighted(the first several I found were, actually). Lots of them have creative commons licenses, though, and flickr will sort them for you by that, you just have to look for it, down at the bottom of the page, and then look through the recent images with an attribution license. My image was found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dai-a-log/5380097138/, and it was uploaded by Dai44, http://www.flickr.com/photos/dai-a-log/.

I don't have photoshop, so I thought I'd use picnik.com's free editor(like the directions say). Well... hmmm, I couldn't discover the way to add text. I could do all kinds of weird things to the image, but I couldn't add the text to it, which is what you're supposed to do at that stage in the directions. Luckily, I'm pretty handy with Paint(since it's all I have), and was able to very easily add the text & find fonts I was fond of and it wasn't half as frustrating as picnik.

I think it looks pretty amazing.
