Doctor Scarf!
So, my knitting abilities have finally reached the level (namely, doing colourwork with ease*) which will enable me to make one of the most epic things in the known universe - the epic scarf worn by Tom Baker during his reign as The Doctor. I wanted it to match the one Charis already made for the Doctor Bear, so I used the same pattern(so it's the Season 14 scarf, as apparently there was more than one) and yarns as she used. I love the colours of the scarf, and I have the pattern written down so when I complete a section I mark it off my list.
Anyhow, so I started making it yesterday(having bought the yarns on Saturday evening after Jenn and Z left and Charis and I went to Hobby Lobby) and have about a foot(I'm guessing, haven't measured) of progress on it. I'm really having a difficult time getting work done today because I really just want to go home and knit and make my awesome, epic scarf. So, I thought I would post this for the benefit of those of you not on my Twitter or who haven't otherwise heard the news.
In other news, I need some Doctor-y icons.
*Not that it's hard, but I tend to have mental blocks against most knitting techniques and believe them to be impossible until I give them a shot and then am shocked at how amazingly easy they are. "What? That's all? It's so easy!"
