These Ravenclaws will have lightning-fast mental reflexes. Aries is an intellectual sign, but it is also an impatient sign; Ravenclaws who were born under this sign are likely to tolerate no dull wits or stupidity, whether they see this lack of mental competence in themselves (in which case they will berate themselves for not understanding, or give up quickly in frustration without really trying to overcome their difficulty in learning) or in others (in which case they will lash out at the offender with acidic comments and haughty, cutting looks). These Ravenclaws will want to be at the head of the class, dominating other students in their chosen intellectual field, and may be almost as competitive as Slytherins. However, the true aim of every Ravenclaw is knowledge, knowledge, and more knowledge. While a Slytherin might see losing a magical duel or being bested by another student in a DADA class as humiliating, the Ravenclaw will probably just take delight in competition for its own sake, and see defeat as a learning experience.
Occupation: Elizabeth currently holds two jobs, the first of which is at Ollivander's. Here she has somewhat of an apprenticeship, studying up on just what goes into creating and selling wands. Ollivander is a bit of an odd employer, constantly changing when he expects her to be in the shoppe, which is a nightmare for Lizzie. She puts up with this only because her dream is to someday own a wand shoppe of her own, and he often gives her a bit of a break by letting her travel. On these trips she observes different styles of wood and cores in order to decide what she deems fit to sell someday.
When not working for Ollivander, as it's not a full time position, Elizabeth works closer to home in Hogsmeade at the Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop. She often gets bored with her position there, however, as she'd already learned all there is to know about each and every quill they have in stock. Her enjoyment comes from helping students during Hogsmeade weekends and practicing her charms work in the back room when customers are scarce.
Bloodline / Heritage: Halfblood / British & Irish (but not enough to have an accent or anything...)
Personal History: Elizabeth had typical middle child syndrome in her younger years, wanting of attention but receiving little. Her older brother was accepted into Hogwarts before her, and her younger sister was a Quidditch star. While one sibling got attention for being a bit of a rebel, the other was praised for talent on the pitch. The constant feeling of being overlooked drove Elizabeth to put all her time and effort into her studies. However; her academic skill and obvious intelligence had the opposite effect of what she'd hoped. Her muggleborn father and halfblood mother were so confident that their daughter would get through school with flying colours that they often neglected to really give her any special attention. Convinced that she was on her own, Elizabeth began doing things only to please herself. She threw herself into her studies, fascinated by the wandwork that went into spell casting. Taking extra care of her wand, Elizabeth formed her dream of creating her own wands to sell someday. Though she wasn't the most popular of girls, she did have a few close friends. Showing great promise, she was given the Head Girl position in her seventh year. This she took very seriously, and was determined to set a good example for those around her. Her fears about what would come after Hogwarts made her slightly uptight about time management. She still enjoys research and a good debate, liking the one-on-one atmosphere that she missed out on in her family.
Personality: Elizabeth is the type to analyze every outcome to a situation until she's so confused that her intuition has to kick in. Lucky for her, she's generally got a very good sense about what will and will not work in a situation. Unfortunately, this does not apply to people, as her mind moves at too quick a pace to really understand someone after a short time. She can be a tad judgemental, assuming something and not changing her mind until the other person realises what she thinks of them and makes an effort to correct her. While frustrated by rules and regulations, she has to be pushed to bend or break them, as it is hard for her to do so willingly on her own. She enjoys surprises of a material sort, but gets anxious or nervous when changes are made to her daily routine. Her temper is not short, but it's dangerous as she takes out all she builds up on whoever gets her to crack. She dreams big, but has trouble finishing projects. Her goals may be set and clear, but her ways of achieving them will vary. She is very contradictory in a way, though it become easier to understand when you take note that it's all about control. If she's the one choosing a new path to take, she'll be a bit awkward, but excited about her decision. If someone else chooses the path for her, she is likely to suffer a small breakdown or lash out. She's not alwaysready to talk about herself, but she's a very willing listener. She may act as if she hates those with silly humor, but the truth is that she is jealous of those who can charm their way into people's hearts. Intelligence is important to her and she's not always so patient with those whose minds don't work at the same pace. She can be a bit dramatic at times, channeling her frustration into colourful storytelling. While still struggling to find herself, she's a bit bossy, but desperate for the influence of others. I'd expect a slight change in character (perhaps just a tad more open and easygoing) as she forms relationships with new people!
