Wicked Wednesday

Today has been a very strange, strange day.

On my way to work somebody approached me and said I highly resembled David Blaine. WTF? It's amusing, considering I have the biggest crush on Blaine but I would never ever enter us into a "look-alike" contest. Maybe this was god's little way of saying ""love thyself."

On my way to lunch, partly fatigued, stressed, and battingling a headache, I get a call from the Provost's Institutional Research office. Seems the courier accidentally dropped off a piece of mail into a mailbox that I only have access to (and never, ever check). Because I never check it, the key was in my apartment and thus, I had to make a detour after buying my sandwich and go home. Apparently there were thousand and thousands of dollars in checks in the envelope so it's not like I could excatly say "can this wait?".  In my mind, I said fuck it anyway,  and ate my sandwich at home, taking my sweet ass time before finally going back to work.

Then, I check my  bank account at work and realize how close I am to borderline poverty. I really need to take a break from all the clubbing and fancy dinners. At least until May 31 when I get paid again (fuck you, once-a-month-payroll bullshit).

To top it off, after a beautiful 70+ degree day, it starts to rain. I check weather.com and notice there is a thunderstorm fastly approaching. I remember checking the weather this morning and don't recall seeing any rain announced, much less a thunderstorm. Ugh. Didn't bring my umbrella to work but thankfully I was just given one yesterday for helping the President's office during commencement and it was sitting in a gift bag in the office.. Unfortunately, it's this ugly Columbia blue and white thing. But it got me home.

Now, nap time.
