I've been quitting cigarettes. This is a process that I've experienced before. It brings about strange changes in the brain, that being wired for the regular intake of serotonin starts to search for the missing enzymes, in the process throwing up all types of accumulated dust. Brain dust. Memories that I'm not even sure are my memories, memories of things with no relevance, and the long repressed suddenly come to my attention, for no considerable reason. This can be an overwhelmingly sad experience. Or a bizarre one. But I'm getting healthy, more healthy than I've been in years.

violeteyes It's funny, last night I had a dream about hooking up my Sega Master System. Which IMHO though not as bankable as NES, was far edgier and cool.

goodcow A cool feature is the entry count: every post's title tells what number entry it is. The latest is something like 3232. Also, an Early Adopter which explains why the count is so high. Another cool feature is that we're both from the same boro, and alma mater.

marioche69 These posts about apartment hunting remind me that I don't have time to spend reading journals today and that I have to get my ass on Craigslist now. And your Harry Potter tickets remind me of my friend who keeps claiming she has a copy of the new Harry Potter and that the ending is retarded. She's crazy.

thewanderer You win the NoJoLB Humanitarian of the Month Award if you succeed in spaying that cat and her kittens. Very admirable. When I see pregnant strays all I can do is get pissed that I can't bring them home because the cat I have at home does not work well with others.

pebele Brutal rip-the-teeth-out-of-your-mouth honesty.

mako Amazingly enough considering the title I already had for this entry and the theme had a post where Barbara Streisand's "Memories" was the current music.

rookin sure talks a lot about facebook on LiveJournal. Also, how do I get to the bottom of this Zombie Ninja business?

peke Friends only but I found the bio and the seafood quiz both oddly mesmerizing.

difazio I wasn't too wowed by Miranda July. I read some of No One Belongs Here More Than You and I thought it was pandering.
This review kind of says what I'm trying to say, except that the story cited as a good example is the story I thought was pretty doofy. But that's just my opinion, and I have a girlfriend and a bunch of other friends I don't sleep with who think she's awesome too.
[EDIT] Because the new receipt system is so unwieldy some of you received incomplete receipts. Sorry.
Also, the Mission will probably slow to dial-up speeds this month. I have a ton of real life going on besides the moratorium on smoking, and the total of journals read this month will be way below average. Which is technically 53.
