Here is your reading assignment. Please comment to this post to confirm you have received it. Posting the assignments starts on May 20th, the whole chapter go up on May 27th.

I'm sorry I have to split up the assignment this time. Please let me know if you prefer to have your assignment in one piece by mail or so.

Have fun! :o)

(sorry for flooding your inbox, I had to delete my first attempt as the splitting of the chapter didn't work at first try. If you're using your inbox for the text, please choose the last two notifications and compare them to the parts online. Thank you! :o) )

Assignment received. This is one of my favorite scenes, so thank you for assigning it to me. I only wish I could have the entire scene, with Frodo and Sam making it down to the bottom, but I'll enjoy performing the section I've been given.

If you like I'll ask arcadiaego if she would mind splitting the parts differently. The sections are rather long this time anyway, since we're only seven readers.

I wouldn't mind, but since it's such a long scene, even if I do it all, it will take a number of voice posts to complete it. I wonder why we have so few readers this time around? I hope people aren't losing interest in the project.

Perhaps we should leave it then as it is. If you have other options to record, though, we are now having a mp3 hosting space for read_lotr_aloud where your recording could be stowed and displayed in your entry, just like it is in my entries. You would need to send your recordig to me by Email and I would load it up and give you the link /code to display in your entry.

About the readers and interest in the project: dreamflower and I do hope so, too! One of the new readers is on holiday but will come back for the next reading, and one or two of the old crowd don't have the hardware configuration at the moment to read.
