"Tell me one last thing," said Harry. "Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?"

Dumbledore beamed at him, and his voice sounded loud and strong in Harry's ears even though the bright mist was descending again, obscuring his figure.

"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean it is not real?" (pg 723 US)

Heh. I used this argument in a crack fic I wrote once, too:

Awww...thank you. Yeah, it was sort of semi-seriously written, but it was also an epilogue to a story which involved various incarnations of the characters having a karaoke night, so I was having a hard time being *too* serious with it.

Oh, please do! I don't mind at all. pica_scribit is a purely fandom journal which, for me, means it's about 98% HP-related. Though I was inducted into the cult of Doctor Who last night....

i didn't really appreciate that the last couple of books before this one there was kind of a lack of a sense of wonder (or magic if you will) that we had in the first few books, but kind of lost as the spells got old and the kids turned into jaded teenagers.
it really comes back hardcore for this one.
so yeah, i really love lines like that.
