"So young, to be fighting so many." jenderelly August 22 2007, 22:04:39 UTC
I love that Ron gives his shoes and socks to Dobby. But why was Dobby barefoot? His favorite thing to wear was socks, so where were they? And none of Hermione's old hats. I know it doesn't matter, but I still wondered.

Draco's wand feels "friendly" to Harry. I know it's because he's won it, so the wand is respecting him as a new owner and all that, but I thought it was a funny description. Nothing in relation to Draco has ever been "friendly" to Harry before.

Am I meant to know, but not to seek? Did you know how hard I'd find that? Is that why you made it this difficult? So I'd have time to work that out?" Harry is figuring things out! I love it. And then he chooses horcruxes (and Ron doesn't understand why), but I think this is absolutely the best and one of the hardest decisions he's probably had to make up until this point.

When they're talking to Griphook, they are arguing about the right for wizards and goblins to own wands. Goblins aren't allowed to and Ron says, "Well, goblins can do magic without wands!" This further ( ... )

I think Ron was just making the point that Goblins don't necessarily need wands, so it's not a big deal they aren't allowed them.

Bella's wand is a tough call! And the latter a good question!

ron handed bella's wand over to draco at her instructions, so i think technically it's still "his" as malfoy didn't force him to give it over.

or hary handed it over, as it was in his possession at the time sorry, but it would have been ron's cause he had "won" it.

we see lots of wandless magic, like when harry blew up aunt marge in POA, let loose the snake at the zoo, regrew his hair etc it's possible, just really hard to control.

I know! The first read through I didn't really pay attention to it, because I was reading so fast. This time, though, I've picked up on a lot more of it. It's awesome :)

Well, technically, didn't Draco try to befriend Harry right after they first met? :D

Yup. And then on the train it was like, "Hey Harry, be my friend or else."

Dobby wore the socks on top of his hats, didn't he? That's why he was barefoot, perhaps...
