1. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A Vetrenarian, or an Author
2. Did you follow through? If not, what happened?
I just got a job as an ambulance dispatcher. I own a sugar glider who is still somewhat terrified of me, and I write a great deal, but mostly journaling (in about five different journals) and a record I am working on of the past four years of my life, so that I don't forget any of it since it was all a very significant learning experience for me. I guess the reason I'm not pursuing either of those things is because I didn't really understand myself enough to figure out what would make me happy, and I didn't grasp the full spectrum of everything "being grown up" entails. plus I didn't know the nosedive my education would take, forcing me to eventually get a GED.
3. Is your life turning out the way you thought it would when you were a kid?If not, is it better or worse?
It's definitley not turning out the way I thought it would, but I don't think better or worse would be adequate to describe it. It's just......more complicated.
4. Paradoxes aside, if you could time-travel back to when you were 10 years old, what would you tell your 10-year-old self?
Decide for yourself. Don't let anyone else tell you how to think or feel just because you are lonely. It will get better.
5. Do you think the child you were, would like the adult you've become?
probably. I was a weird kid.
