Damien was satisfied. Well, not yet, but he was going to be. After school today he had a date with Lisa. This girl had all the right curves and definitely wanted to make you scream with delight. The best part was that she didn’t have much of a brain, so he wouldn’t have to worry about romantic attachments.
He was beginning to feel a bit better after this morning’s encounter with Dauner and her partner in crime. Only shortly after leaving the cafeteria he had bumped into Lisa and had arranged his little rendezvous with her.
During History, the last period of the day, he let his mind wander. He was trying to do anything but think about Aaron and Chelsea. He let his mind wander to the pretty blonde that he would have later that evening. He was going to enjoy her. From what he’d heard she was very experienced. He imagined what Lisa would look like with brown hair and freckles dusted delicately across her face...
He recoiled at the thought of Lisa looking like Dauner and couldn’t believe the image had popped into his head at all. But it suddenly it gave him an idea. He needed a way to get back at Dauner and perhaps he had just found one. Two can play this game, Dauner, he thought.
……
“Ugh! I make one tiny mistake and he gives me detention. Detention! Can you believe it? I hate Spanish!” Chelsea yelled at Jenna as soon as she left the class, not caring if the teacher heard.
“Don’t you say this everyday? I don’t get it, if you hate it so much why do you take it?”
“It’s not my fault. I have no clue how I passed the placement test. I would have been quite happy in Spanish 1B.” Chelsea said.
“Well you could always drop down.”
“Oh yeah, that’ll look great on my applications, and my parents would freak.”
“That doesn’t leave you with many options.”
“I know. Why is my life so dramatic? It’s a Friday for god’s sake, I have a life. I just made one tiny mistake.” Chelsea groaned hitting her head on her locker.
“Mistake?” Colin eyed her doubtfully.
“Yes mistake. I’m sorry but my life does not revolve around Spanish. I didn’t have time to finish the paragraph completely, but I wasn’t the only one.” Her teacher had immediately given her detention telling her she would have to redo the paragraph and on top of that she had to write an apology note for her behavior in class. The redoing the paragraph for homework wouldn’t be too bad, but the apology note was the last thing on her mind.
……
Having finished the paragraph and apology note, Chelsea walked briskly to her teacher, Senor Martinez’s room. As she walked out there she noticed Carter talking to that slut Lisa Byther. Well obviously it was more than talking but Chelsea didn’t want to go into details. She waited for a few moments, completely forgetting she had a deadline to meet, and waited for Lisa to go away.
She watched Carter play with Lisa’s hair, obviously talking about where they would meet later that day. As soon as she walked away, Chelsea came up behind Damien and spoke,
“Planning a little midnight rendezvous, Carter?”
“I’d be careful if I were you, Dauner. You may have something over me now, but I assure you I will get my revenge.”
“Is that a threat?”
“Go to hell! I’ve got things to do.” Damien hissed frustrated beyond comprehension.
Chelsea smirked. She really couldn’t help herself. “Ah, yes. Things.”
Damien caught the meaning as he recalled their conversation from before. He barely retained his composure. “Actually, I have Lisa to do. She,” he emphasized, “knows how to please a man.” And then he added for reasons unknown to himself, “Unlike some inexperienced little girls.”
“And what is that supposed to mean?” Chelsea was irritated. She shouldn’t have been, but his tone was contemptuous and that aggravated her. A small part of her was also slightly bothered that he was meeting with some blond.
Damien knew he hit a nerve. “Oh, just some things I’ve heard from your previous boyfriends. It would also probably explain why you were never able to get Josh either.”
Chelsea was furious now. How dare he even go there! She thought about threatening him with the photos again, but in a way that was letting him win.
“Don’t push me Carter. You should be begging at my feet.” Chelsea turned to leave, knowing that her Spanish teacher wasn’t as bad as this.
“What’s the matter, Dauner? Jealous?”
“Hardly, Carter. Though Aaron may be. You really ought to take his feelings into consideration,” she returned smoothly. She was the one with the upper hand here and he’d best not forget it.
Damien glared at her and let her go on her way.
As Chelsea reached room 107, the dreaded foreign language room, she knocked at the door so quietly, she wasn’t even sure if she herself heard it. A part of her was hoping, he wouldn’t hear the knock and she could just leave the papers in his mailbox outside the door.
Unfortunately, Senor Martinez enjoyed seeing her squirm as he opened the door and beckoned her inside.
“Here are the assignments,” she said as she handed the papers. “May I go now?”
“I need a word with you, senorita.”
She sighed. She had wasted enough time doing the work and didn’t have much patience for a lecture.
“You are aware, Miss Dauner, that your work in my class is not completely up to par? I know that you have the potential to succeed in my class, yet you just do not exert yourself sufficiently. I have talked to your counselor, and I am assigning you a peer tutor.”
“What, why not Jenna?” she replied, enraged. She had never needed a tutor before in any subject, and she definitely didn’t need one in this.
“I don’t believe Jenna will be able to give you any sort of motivation, and more likely you will spend your time with her criticizing the language rather than learning it.”
Chelsea had the grace to blush, knowing it was true.
Her teacher stood up, leading her to the door, “Come to me at Lunch on Monday, and I will have your teacher picked.”
……
Oh gods! This can’t be happening, Damien thought in a slight panic. This can’t have ever actually happened to a Carter!
Lisa had been waiting as he had expected. They had begun their make-out session as Damien had planned but as things progressed he found that nothing was happening. Nothing. All he could think about was Chelsea, and how he needed to get revenge. The complete enjoyment of the session had been lost.
THIS WAS ALL CHELSEA’S FAULT!!
He couldn’t even enjoy his date.
“Damien, what’s wrong?” Lisa had asked when he was no longer responding to her.
He decided he’d have to quit before she became suspicious of his problem. That was the last thing he needed right now. He didn’t need Lisa spreading rumors.
“I’ve decided I don’t want you. You’re not nearly as good as I’ve heard. I’m leaving.”
He gathered his things, smoothed his hair back into position and left. The truth was she really wasn’t as good as he’d heard. Her kisses were far too needy and she was too fast and not nearly as gentle as she should be. But there still should have been some reaction; a voice in the back of his head reminded him. He was male, after all. It shouldn’t take much.
I’m going to kill you Chelsea. If it’s the last thing I do.
