Title: Take off the blindfold
Pairing: Hankyung/Yesung

Theme: 003. Blindfolds, Hankyung/Yesung
Summary: Sometimes you need to take off the blindfold and see what’s around you. You might not like the results but it’ll make you a better person in the end. Or in this case, lead you to somewhere better.
“You need to take that blindfold off, sweetie, and look at the world around you. There’s a reason I got out and you need to as well.” Hankyung looked at Yesung with a sad sympathetic expression.
“What are you talking about?”
“Take off the blindfold, Yesung, just take it off and see what I see. It’s not a pretty sight but it’s the reality.”
Yesung reached up and felt the blindfold that hadn’t been there a moment ago on his face. He carefully undid the knot and let it slip from his hands. His eyes widened when he looked at the world around him.
Instead of bright sunlight and chirping birds, he saw ruins and heard moans of pains. The people he thought were his friends were actually robots, programmed to follow the rules of the league.
“Why…why did you come back for me?”
Hankyung gently touched Yesung’s cheek. “Because you were destined for a life better than what you have now.”
“Hankyung…” Yesung reached up to touch Hankyung but he skirted out of the way.
“Come, you are no longer safe now that the blindfold has been removed. Follow me and I’ll lead you to safety.” Hankyung turned away from him and began quickly walking down the street. He turned a corner and entered a dark alley way.
Yesung quickened his pace to keep track of Hankyung. Already, he could hear the footsteps of the people that had once been his friends coming behind him.
He followed Hankyung down the alleyway to a manhole cover.
“Here, open it and go down. It’ll lead you to safety.”
Yesung struggled but was finally able to lift it. He gently pushed it out of the way and started to climb down. “What about you?”
“Don’t worry about me. Make sure you close the lid after you. They can’t know about this or follow you. I’ll meet you on the other side, okay? Please be safe.” Hankyung leaned down and pressed a kiss to Yesung’s cheek. “Bye.”
Yesung slid the lid back into place. He waited for a moment, hearing the footsteps coming closer and stepping over the manhole cover. Luckily, no one knew where he had disappeared to and so had left.
Yesung looked at the unending darkness before him. “Well, there’s no place to go but forward.”
He started his descent down into the dark, leading to who knows where.
“Welcome, Yesung.”
Yesung blinked against the bright light to find Hankyung smiling brightly at him, arms opened wide.
“Where…where am I?”
Hankyung walked forward. He reached out and grabbed Yesung’s hands in his. “Heaven.”
A/N: well that just burned out some of the emotions inside me. I’m kind of happy with the results ^^
