Chapter 12

Ryeowook smiled as he walked into school. He walked over to his locker and found a note stuck on it. He looked at it and arched an eyebrow. He stuck it in his bag, grabbed his books, and headed to class.
Sungmin was already seated at his desk, another rose in his hands.
“Well, I see you have your daily rose.”
Sungmin flushed a light pink. “Yeah…it’s a great way to start the day.”
“Nice. Ready to start the day then?”
“Yep. And good thing too since the teacher just came in with a pop quiz.”
Ryeowook wrinkled his nose. “Oh great…” He took his seat with a sigh.

~

“That pop quiz wasn’t as bad as I thought.” Ryeowook smiled as he and Sungmin headed to their next class. They reached the door of the classroom at the same time as Kyuhyun.
Sungmin kept his gaze adverted. Ryeowook caught the look in Kyuhyun’s eye but said nothing as he slipped into the classroom.
Sungmin and Kyuhyun awkwardly stood at the doorway until Donghae came rushing by, almost pushing Sungmin into the room.
“Come on, class is going to start soon.” Donghae grabbed Sungmin’s wrist and pulled him inside, Kyuhyun following silently behind.
Sungmin and Kyuhyun took their respective seats in the back. “So uh…how was your weekend?”
“It was good. Shall we get started on the project?”
“Uh…yeah.” Sungmin searched in his bags for his notes. His rose fell out.
“You may want to pick up your rose before someone either takes it or steps on it.”
“Oh right, thanks.” Sungmin bent over and grabbed his rose off the floor. He placed in on his desk next to his notes. “So uh…for the project…”
“Here are my notes. Take a look at them and let me know what you think.”
“Oh uh…okay.” Sungmin took Kyuhyun’s notebook and placed it next to his. He glanced at them, taking note of what he liked and what he didn’t liked. “Uh okay…so I was looking at our notes and I think we should do this one.”
Kyuhyun nodded his head. “Okay, sure. Here’s a list of the different assignments we need to do for this. You can choose which ones you want to do. We’ll do our own research and meet once every two weeks or once a month to update each other about our progress.”
“Oh uh…okay.” Sungmin took the list and glanced over it. He marked which ones he wanted to do.
Kyuhyun took the sheet and nodded as he looked it over. He reached into his notebook and pulled out a sheet with all of things Sungmin had wanted to do. “Here, these are your assignments. I have mine. Let’s meet two weeks from Saturday to share our progress, okay?”
“Uh…sure, okay.” Sungmin took the sheet of paper, sticking it in his bag. “So uh…”
The bell rang signaling the end of class. Kyuhyun nodded his head as he grabbed his bag and left. Sungmin sat at his seat looking a bit dumbfounded until Ryeowook came over to prod him back to reality.
“Come on, Sungmin, let’s get to class.”
“Oh okay…” Sungmin gathered his things and headed off to class still in a daze.
Ryeowook looked at him a bit worried. As he walked off to class, he pulled out his phone and sent a quick text. He wasn’t looking where he was going and accidentally bumped into someone, knocking both his and the other person’s stuff to the ground.
“Oh I’m so sorry. I wasn’t looking where I was going.”
“Oh no, it’s okay. Here.”
Ryeowook paused and looked to see Yesung smiling at him, holding his things. He slight blushed as he accepted them. “Oh thanks.”
Yesung smiled as he handed Ryeowook his items. His eyes happened to catch sight of his cell phone screen and he paused at the name on there. He quickly looked away as Ryeowook took it back.
“Thank you. Do you need help with your things?” Ryeowook indicated to Yesung’s things still scattered on the floor.
“Oh no, I’ll be fine.”
“But class -“
“Go on ahead. I’ll be fine.” Yesung smiled and waved as he knelt down to pick up his things. He watched as Ryeowook hesitated a moment before going to their shared class. He looked back down to gather his things while his mind wandered off.
Who is GameKyu? And why is he texting him now?

~

Ryeowook looked at the note again before quickly stuffing it into his pocket. He wasn’t sure if he should listen to what the note said or not. He fingered the note as he walked down the hall.
Just before he reached the cafeteria door, a blur came by and grabbed his arm, dragging him away.
“Hey~ what’s going on?” Ryeowook tried to pry the arm off but it had a death grip on him. He turned his head but could only see the back of the person.
“Where are you taking me?” Ryeowook tried to get rid of the hand on him but it wouldn’t let go.
Ryeowook found himself dragged into the music room. He was tossed on the couch and before he could get up, he was pinned on the couch by Yesung. He stared up at him incredulously but before he could say anything, Yesung looked straight in his eyes, mumbled a quiet “Sorry but I have to”, and then his lips were covered.
Ryeowook’s eyes widened as Yesung kissed him. He kept his mouth closed but with a lick of Yesung’s tongue across his bottom lip, he opened up like a flower. It was then food made its way into his mouth. He tried to push away but Yesung kept a tight grip on him. It wasn’t until after he swallowed the food that Yesung pulled away.
Ryeowook wiped his mouth and glared at Yesung. “What the hell was that?”
Yesung shrugged his shoulder. “What? You need to eat. I know you’re starving yourself and unless forced, you’re just going to half eat anything given to you.”
“So you decided to force feed me like that?”
“It worked, didn’t it?”
Ryeowook scoffed. He looked around and noticed the plate of food set on a nearby table. “If I promise to eat all this, will you promise not to force feed me?”
“As long as you eat all of it and I will be watching you.” Yesung gave a small smile as he sat down and watched Ryeowook.
Ryeowook frowned but complied. He sat down and slowly ate the plate of food. He felt uncomfortable with Yesung watching him so closely. “Do you really have to stare at me like that?”
“I have to make sure you eat everything. You’re really too skinny and need to gain some weight.” Yesung flashed a smile.
Ryeowook gave a little growl but continued eating. He pretended every bite was Yesung that he was crushing to death.
When Ryeowook was done, Yesung got up from his seat to clear away the dishes. “Good job, you cleaned the plate.”
“Yeah, ‘cause you were watching me like a hawk.” Ryeowook crossed his arms and took Yesung’s empty seat.
“Whatever it takes to make you eat. You’re way too skinny for your own good.” Yesung opened the door to set out the dishes out and found a note taped to the door.
Hey, I’m calling today an off day. You and Ryeowook go have fun together. Nice work there, Yesung, didn’t think you had it in you to actually make the first move.
Yesung crumpled the note before walking back inside. Ryeowook was seated at piano, playing through his scales. He looked up at the sound of the closing door.
“Where’s Kyuhyun?”
“He’s not coming. Said we had the day off.”
“Oh.” Ryeowook continued playing the piano. “Well, you can leave if you want. I’m just going to practice if you don’t mind.”
“Oh, no, I’m staying. We can practice together.” Yesung slowly made his way towards the piano. “Could I sit next to you?”
Ryeowook shifted over a bit, leaving just barely enough room for Yesung to sit down. Yesung sat down and waited for Ryeowook to play the notes.
The two warmed up before singing. They spent the next few minutes going through their songs before Yesung signaled for a break. He walked over to his bag to grab his bottle of water and took a sip. He offered it to Ryeowook who declined. Instead, Ryeowook walked over to his bag and grabbed his own bottle of water to drink from. Yesung frowned but said nothing as he continued to drink and watch Ryeowook.

~

Ryeowook lay down on his bed. The whole week had gone by strangely since that day Yesung had kissed him to force-feed him food. He shuttered. Since that day, Yesung had watched him like a hawk as they ate lunch together in the music room.
Ryeowook glanced down at his body and frowned, seeing the signs of weight gain. He sighed and buried his head into his pillow. There was nothing he could do about that though. He was going to gain weight until Yesung was satisfied with him. And he didn’t even know when Yesung would be satisfied with him. He punched his pillow in lieu of Yesung’s face.
His phone buzzed on the nightstand next to him. Ryeowook reached over and checked it to find a text message from Heechul.
Hey, we’re all getting together for some more wedding planning and bonding time. Pack your things and me and Hannie will be by to pick you up. You’re spending the weekend here so make sure you have everything needed for a weekend.
Ryeowook cracked a small smile as he got up and grabbed his Heechul bag, solely named for his stuff he needs when he goes over to Heechul’s place. At that moment, his phone buzzed, signaling Heechul and Hankyung’s arrival.

~

“So what you’re saying is that we should have this flower for the centerpiece, this flower for the bouquet and yes Leeteuk, you are carrying one, and this flower for accents?” Sungmin held up the different pictures.
“Yep, it’ll go lovely with the venue, right Zhoumi?”
Zhoumi nodded his head. “Oh yes, of course. It fits right in with their color scheme as well.”
“Any opinions, Leeteuk?”
Leeteuk glanced up from his phone to take a look at the pictures. “They’re nice. I trust your judgment unless you create something outrageous and extravagant.”
Heechul gasped. “But that’s-that’s-“
“Leeteuk’s style. He goes for clean and simple. You go for flashy and loud, Chullie umma.” Ryeowook smiled from where he was busy helping to address the invitations.
Heechul scoffed. “Fine, fine, fine, whatever. At least things are moving smoothly, if a bit slowly.”
“Slowly? What are you talking about? When is Leeteuk getting married?”
“In a month’s time.”
All hell broke loose at that. Heechul had barely locked himself in his and Hankyung’s bedroom before the others reached him. There was insistent pounding on the door that Heechul ignored and only subsided when Hankyung came in with dinner.

~

Kyuhyun stared at his phone, unsure if he should do it or not. He stared at it some more, hoping it would give him the answer he sought. Suddenly it buzzed, almost causing Kyuhyun to drop it.
“Hello?”
“Hey GameKyu, have you finished planning your confession to Sungmin?”
“What??!?!? How did you know I was going to do that?”
Ryeowook laughed. “I didn’t but now I do. So you have everything planned?”
“Kind of…like I have a general idea but I don’t know if I really want to do it.”
“You waited how many years to confess? I think it’s long overdue that you do it.”
“Yes but I still think it’s too soon. He’s just starting to actually talk to me normally and not like before. I don’t want to ruin that.”
Ryeowook sighed. “Freakin’ man up, Kyuhyun and go confess. This has gone on long enough. He likes the roses you’ve been giving him and if he doesn’t completely shun or run from you, then I think you’re good.”
“Yeah...but -“
“No buts. You get your confession planned out and I’ll help with the rest, okay? JUST CONFESS TO HIM ALREADY~! Or I’ll ruin it all for you.”
Kyuhyun sighed. “Alright, alright. I’ll do it, I’ll do it.”
“I expect you to be ready by next week. That should be more than enough time.” Ryeowook bid a farewell before hanging up.
Kyuhyun sighed and looked at his phone. He couldn’t believe he was pushed to this but he had to be grateful. He just hoped it all turned out well.

~

Ryeowook frowned as he walked into the music room for his daily lunch with Yesung. “Alright, I’m here. What do you have to feed me this time?”
“Something nutritious.” Yesung gave a small smile as his eyes observed Ryeowook. He noticed the nice weight gain and internally smiled. He was starting to fill out his clothes nicely instead of them hanging off of him.
“Here, come sit and we’ll eat.” Yesung patted the spot next to him and pulled out his lunch box.
Ryeowook sighed but took his spot next to Yesung. “So how long do you plan on doing this?”
“Until I deem you healthy and fit enough to eat on your own.”
Ryeowook arched a brow. “Okay…but why are you doing this? I thought you didn’t like me.”
“What are you talking about? I never said that.”
“You sure…’cause it seems like you don’t like me from the way you treated me before.”
“That’s not true, that’s not true at all.”
“Oh really?” Ryeowook crossed his arms and looked at Yesung.
“Okay, so I might not have been the nicest person but it’s just because you…well you have some kind of effect on me.”
“An effect? What kind of effect?”
Yesung turned away, a slight flush to his cheeks. “I’d rather not say.”
Ryeowook studied Yesung for a bit before a smile spread across his face. “Alright then. I’ll leave it alone for now. But can you do something for me?”
“What?” Yesung turned back to look at Ryeowook hesitantly. His eyes widened in surprise when Ryeowook’s mouth covered his. It was brief yet Yesung couldn’t forget it.
Ryeowook pulled back with a smile. “Here, try this. It’s delicious.” He scooped up some food and put it into Yesung’s open mouth.
Yesung automatically chewed and swallowed without tasting it, still reeling from Ryeowook’s surprise attack.
“So…?”
“Uh…can I have another bite? I didn’t get a chance to taste it.”
The corner of Ryeowook’s mouth lifted in a tiny smirk as he scooped another spoonful for Yesung. “There. Now did you taste it this time?”
Yesung nodded his head. “It is good. But uh…what was that thing you wanted me to do for you?”
“Oh nothing. Just forget about it.” Ryeowook smiled as he turned to happily munch on his lunch. Yesung was left there to mechanically eat his food, tasting nothing but thinking about Ryeowook’s brief kiss.
Kyuhyun found the two seated on the couch, Ryeowook smiling contentedly as he munched on a cookie and Yesung sitting like a statue next to him. He arched a brow as he walked over towards them.
“Hello, what do we have here?”
Ryeowook looked up with a smile. “Oh hey Kyu, just finishing up lunch. You finish that project of yours yet?”
“Almost. Just got a few more details to work out.”
“Ah~ okay. So ready to practice?”
“Yeah…but is Yesung hyung gonna participate too?”
“Oh sure. Just let me wake him up.” Ryeowook gave Kyuhyun a wink as he leaned over and placed a kiss on Yesung’s mouth.
Yesung blinked his eyes slowly as if he was coming to life. He first saw Ryeowook’s smiling face before taking in Kyuhyun standing right behind him with a shit-eating grin on his face. He quickly frowned and stood up, strolling over towards the piano.
“Shall we go practice now?”
“Yes, sir.” Ryeowook and Kyuhyun shared a smile before walking over to join Yesung at the piano.
