Eunhyuk smiled as she closed Donghae’s bedroom door. He was such a little angel. She couldn’t believe so much time had passed. Donghae was now out of preschool and about to enter elementary school. She smiled as she thought of the new school supplies they had bought for him just the other day. She just wished Kibum had been there to experience it with them. Don’t get it wrong, she appreciated Siwon and all he’s done for them but sometimes she just missed Kibum. She felt bad for all the things he was missing. If only…
Eunhyuk sighed. It didn’t help dwelling on the past. She and Donghae were safe and sound, living with Siwon, who was the perfect gentleman and father figure for Donghae.
She pushed open the door to her bedroom and froze in the doorway. She stared at the figure standing by the window with his back turned towards her.
“Kibum…?”

Kibum smiled as he turned around to look at Eunhyuk. She looked lovelier than the last time he’d seen her.
“Hi Eunhyuk.”
Tears filled Eunhyuk’s eyes as she looked at the man she loved and lost. “Kibum…”
Kibum walked towards Eunhyuk. He lifted his hand and gently touched Eunhyuk’s face.
Eunhyuk leaned into the touch even though she couldn’t feel anything but the gesture was reassuring. The tears silently fell as she stared into Kibum’s loving eyes.
“What are you doing here?”
Kibum sighed. “I’m here to talk to you about something.”
“What is it? Is it Donghae? Have you seen him? He’s the best. You would’ve loved him. I wish you could’ve lived to see him grow up.”
“I do too but it was my fate to die early. I know that now. But that’s not what I wanted to talk to you about. It’s about you.”
Eunhyuk’s eyes widened in surprise. “Me?”
“Yes you. You need to move on. You can’t stay like this anymore. It hurts me seeing you hurt still. You have to stop pining for me.” Kibum looked away and sighed. He looked back at Eunhyuk with slight pain shadowing his eyes. “I want you to be happy even if it’s with a man other than me.”
“No, I will not love another man other than you!” Eunhyuk walked towards Kibum and wrapped her arms around him as best as she could. “I can see how much it hurts for you to see me with another man. It hurts me too. Don’t do this to me. I can’t love another. I’ll love you and only you.”
Kibum turned around and gently pushed Eunhyuk away to look down directly into her face.
"No, you can. You just have to learn to let go, at one point in our lives, we need to let go of something precious, even if we don't want to, and you've already reached that point, but not going further. You have to stop wearing my clothes, you need to stop glancing out our pictures, you need to stop thinking about me!"
Kibum grabs Eunhyuk hand, strangely not giving out warmth, but calms Eunhyuk nevertheless.
"You need to move on, and don't look back!"
Kibum reaches for Eunhyuk’s cheek, cupping her face, and leans in to let their lips meet in a long sweet kiss. Eunhyuk forgets when was the last time she had a kiss as sweet as this, but she remembers it was Kibum she kissed back then, and it is Kibum she's kissing right now. The force acting upon her lips gradually lessened, and she lifted up her closed eyelids to see absolutely nothing in front of her. At first she thought it was a dream, but then she realized, it was real, judging by Kibum's apparel and the fact he kissed her goodbye.
She looked around the empty room, hoping Kibum was still nearby to hear her. “I’ll try, Kibum, I promise.”

Ever since that night, Eunhyuk tried her best to move on. She tried to make more of an effort to being friendly with Siwon but it was just so hard. Everytime she tried, Kibum popped into her head. How could she forget that Siwon was Kibum’s friend? It just felt wrong. She felt like she was betraying Kibum if she tried to fall for anyone else.
Eunhyuk smiled as she dropped Donghae off at school again. She waved goodbye before starting the walk home.
She went into the apartment and had just closed the door when she turned around and let out a quiet scream.
“Kibum?!?! What are you doing here?”
Kibum stood with his arms crossed as he stared at Eunhyuk pressed up against the door. “You haven’t been keeping your promise.”
“Yes I have.”
“No you haven’t. You haven’t moved on at all. You need to move on.” Kibum looked at Eunhyuk. “I’ve made my decision. I’m going to help you get Siwon no matter what.”
“What?!?!?! But-but he’s your friend.”
“Yes but he will love you like I love you. I’d rather see you with him than some other guy. He’ll be good for Donghae and for you. No arguing. My mind is made up. Starting now, you will be trying to get Siwon.”
Eunhyuk stared at Kibum, shock and surprised written all over her face. She didn’t want Kibum to know but she was a little scared of what he had planned.

Eunhyuk was working in the kitchen, preparing dinner, when the door opened and Siwon and Donghae walked in.
“Hi, Mommy.” Donghae tossed his bag on the ground before going over to his mom and giving her a hug.
“Hi, Eunhyuk. What’s for dinner?”
“Spaghetti. Didn’t have time to try and make anything else.” She smiled at Siwon as she set the table.
The three of them sat down and enjoyed the meal together, Donghae happily chatting about school. After dinner, Donghae went to the living room to watch TV while Eunhyuk and Siwon cleaned up.
Kibum watched them from the doorway.
Eunhyuk turned to put dishes away and caught sight of Kibum. She froze. Eunhyuk slowly put the dishes away before looking towards Kibum.
“What are you doing here?” she whispered.
“I’m here to help you get Siwon. Ask him for a date.”
"Do it!"
"No!"
"Do it!"
"I said no!"
"Come on, just like we practiced!"
Eunhyuk shook her head. Kibum pushed her towards Siwon, still absorbed in washing dishes.
Siwon turned around when Eunhyuk “accidentally” bumped into him.
“Eunhyuk!"
Eunhyuk nervously glanced around. “I uh... uh... uh...”
Siwon looked at her with concern. “Are you alright?”
Kibum nudges her.
“want to go out with... you!”
Siwon looked at Eunhyuk, surprise evident on his face. “Are-are you sure, Eunhyuk?”
Eunhyuk glanced back at Kibum who smiled encouragingly at her. “Ye-ye-yes. I-I want to go out with you.”
“Alright, if you really want to. We’ll go to the movies tomorrow, okay?”
Eunhyuk dumbly nodded her head. Kibum smiled. A job well done.

Kibum waited until Eunhyuk was asleep before going in to check on Donghae. He was surprised to see him awake as soon as he stepped into the room.
“Hae? Shouldn’t you be asleep? You have school tomorrow.”
Donghae looked at Kibum with a pout on his face. “Daddy, what are you doing to Mommy? Why are you making her go out with Siwon?”
Kibum sighed and sat on Donghae’s bed. “I want her to be happy and move on.”
“But shouldn’t she be with you, Daddy, and not Siwon?”
“Ye-no. No she can’t be with me.” Kibum looked at Donghae. “Don’t you want Mommy to be happy?”
“But I want her to be happy with you.”
“It doesn’t work that way. I can’t be with Mommy.”
Donghae pouted. “Why not?”
“There are special reasons why I can’t. I’ll explain when you’re older. But right now, let’s worry about Mommy and making her happy.” Kibum looked at Donghae with a gentle smile. “Are you going to help me make Mommy happy?”
Donghae pouted but reluctantly nodded his head. Kibum smiled and ruffled Donghae’s hair. “That’s a good boy. Now go to sleep.”

Eunhyuk nervously paced around the house, slowly wearing a little rut in the carpet.
“Mommy, calm down. You’re just to the movies with Siwon. Remember, we went to the movies last week? Everything was fine.”
“Hae’s right, sweetie. You need to stop worrying. Nothing’s going to happen. And don’t forget I’ll be watching over you two so nothing will go wrong.”
“Like that makes me feel any better.” Eunhyuk kept pacing as Kibum and Donghae watched her.
The door opened and everyone turned to look at Siwon. “Hi, sorry I’m late but I had to find a sitter for Donghae.”
“Oh don’t worry, I was going to get my friend to watch Donghae.”
“No, no, no don’t worry. I already found one. Meet Shindong.” A round guy with a smile on his face smiled and waved at Eunhyuk and Donghae. “Alright Shindong, you know where everything is. Come on, Eunhyuk.”
Siwon smiled and held out an arm to Eunhyuk. She hesitantly placed her arm in his. “We’ll be back in 2 hours okay, Hae?”
“Alright Mommy. Have fun!” Donghae smiled and waved as Siwon led Eunhyuk away. Kibum smiled before disappearing to follow the couple.

After leaving the building, Eunhyuk had removed her arm from Siwon’s and was now walking closely next to him. She kept looking around, hoping Kibum was nearby for help. She had no idea what to do. It’s been so long since she’s been on a date.
After what felt like a long time, the two ended up at the movie theaters. Siwon bought two tickets to some film Eunhyuk didn’t remember the name of. They went in and sat somewhere in the back.
Eunhyuk looked around and noticed all the other couples sitting in the back. She felt nervously and jealous seeing them all lovey-dovey with each other. They were all very comfortable with each other, not like her and Siwon.
Kibum watched from a distant. He could only sigh at the visible awkwardness dripping from Eunhyuk. He silently sat down next to her.
“Lean on him.”
Eunhyuk looked around wildly and found Kibum sitting next to her.
“Lean on him.”
Eunhyuk pouted a little but did as Kibum said. Siwon was surprised when he felt some weight on his left side. He turned his head and saw Eunhyuk leaning against him. He didn’t question it (thought it was a miracle) and just wrapped his arm around her.
As the movie progressed, Eunhyuk slowly relaxed and cuddled more closely against Siwon’s side. Soon she had fallen asleep.
Kibum sighed but smiled slightly when he saw Siwon look over at her. He saw the surprise then the sweet smile cross his face.
When the movie ended, Siwon gently picked up Eunhyuk and carried her home.

Eunhyuk frowned as she listened to Kibum basically yell at her for last night (he said he wasn’t yelling but he totally was).
“It’s not my fault I fell asleep. He was just so comfortable and I was so tired. Besides, the movie was totally boring. There’s no way I would’ve stayed awake throughout the whole thing.”
Kibum sighed. “Alright, then your next task is to go shopping with him.”
“Fine, no problem. We’ll go this weekend. I have things I need to buy anyway.”

Siwon, Eunhyuk, and Donghae were wandering around the mall. Donghae kept pulling them into shops and pointing at things he wanted. Then Siwon suggested they drop Donghae off at the childcare center.
“Why?”
“Because Mommy and I want to buy you a present.”
“Really?” Donghae’s eyes lit up in excitement.
“Really. But you don’t want to ruin the surprise now, do you?”
“Nuh uh.”
Siwon smiled. “Good.” He and Eunhyuk went upstairs and dropped Donghae off at the childcare center. They watched for a bit as Donghae made friends with some of the other kids and began playing happily with them.
“So shall we go find a present for him?” Eunhyuk smiled and followed Siwon.
The two wandered around looking for something Donghae would like. They eventually found a stuffed fish Donghae would absolutely love. At the same time, Siwon bought a little stuffed monkey for Eunhyuk. She blushed when Siwon gave it to her.
“Thought you might like it. And here’s a horse for the monkey as well.”
Eunhyuk looked curiously at the horse. “Why would a monkey need a horse?”
“The horse will help the monkey get wherever she needs to go, do whatever she needs him to do. He’s solid and dependable. He’ll never leave the monkey alone.”
Eunhyuk smiled and hugged both the animals to her.
Kibum watched from a distance, sadness shining in his eyes, as he watched Eunhyuk slowly open up to Siwon.
“Link arms with him.” Eunhyuk obediently followed the command and smiled up at Siwon when he looked down at her. She leaned her head against him as the two walked around the mall, briefly glancing at other stores.
Soon it was time to pick up Donghae. He smiled brightly when they gave him the stuffed fishy.
“Thank you, Mommy, Daddy.”
Daddy… Eunhyuk looked at Siwon and smiled. Yes, he can be Hae’s Daddy.

Next week, the three of them decided to go to the beach, at Kibum’s urging. Donghae had so much fun playing on the beach, in the sand and in the water with Siwon. Siwon taught him how to swim and he learned very quickly. Soon he was able to swim in little circles around Donghae.
Eunhyuk smiled as she watched them play. Siwon collapsed down next to her while Donghae continued playing the sand by himself.
“You enjoying yourself, just sitting here in the shade?”
“Yes, besides I like watching you and Donghae play together. He’s having so much fun.”
“You know you can join us.”
Eunhyuk shook her head. “No, that’s okay. Donghae, time to eat.” She turned and dug into the picnic basket and pulled out food. The three quietly ate together.
Donghae pouted when Eunhyuk told him he couldn’t swim for an hour after eating but she distracted him by helping him try to build a sand castle. Siwon joined in and soon they constructed a small little castle.
Donghae and Eunhyuk wandered along the beach collecting shells and decorated the little castle.
Soon an hour was up. Donghae pulled on Eunhyuk’s hand and she reluctantly let him drag her into the water. The water felt so nice. Eunhyuk decided to just float on her back while Donghae and Siwon played together.
Without warning, water splashed all over her. She went under and came up sputtering.
“Sorry Mommy but it was Daddy’s fault.”
“Oh really?” Eunhyuk arched a brow and looked over at Siwon. He gave an innocent look. Eunhyuk thought for a moment before splashing some water in Siwon’s direction.
Soon a splashing war started with Siwon getting heavily soaked by the onslaught of Donghae and Eunhyuk’s combined forces. He made his way through the water and splashes to grab Eunhyuk. He held her up out of the water.
“Surrender or I drop you.”
“You wouldn’t dare.”
“Wouldn’t I?”
He pretended to let Eunhyuk drop and she clung onto him. “Fine, fine, fine, I surrender, I surrender.”
Siwon smiled but still dropped Eunhyuk into the water (but gently this time instead of a toss like he’d originally threatened). Eunhyuk came up, spitting out water. She glared at Siwon and ran after him, who had already gotten a head start.
Donghae and Kibum watched from a distance. Donghae smiled. It’s been so long since he’s seen Mommy smile and have fun like that. Kibum had a bittersweet smile on his face.

“Alright, you’re almost there.”
Eunhyuk pouted. “Do we still need to keep doing this? Me and Siwon are getting closer already. You don’t have to keep helping.”
“No, I still need to. You and Siwon still aren’t officially together. Alright, next step is to go jogging with him in the mornings.”
“What?!?!? Jogging?!?!?!” Eunhyuk pouted. “But I hate jogging.”
“No wonder you resemble an anchovy but that’s not the point. Go jogging with him in the mornings. It’s more bonding time. You guys need to spend even more time together.” Kibum huffed. “Why is he taking so long? He’s in love with you. This should’ve been easier.”
“Whatever. I’ll do what you say.” Eunhyuk turned back to her work and finished making dinner.

After dinner that night, curled up on the couch together watching a show, Eunhyuk looked at Siwon.
“Can I join you when you go jogging in the mornings?”
“What?” Siwon looked down at Eunhyuk in surprise. “But you don’t like jogging. Why would you want to join me?”
“Just ‘cause. It’ll give me something to do during the day besides cooking and cleaning.”
Siwon looked at Eunhyuk suspiciously. “Okay, something’s up and I think it’s time we talked about it.”
“What do you mean?”
Siwon sat up, making Eunhyuk sit up as well, away from him. “This past month, you’ve completely changed. First off, you want to go out with me. You’ve never shown interest in me like that before. Second, we’re spending more and more time together. Before, we would only interact if necessary. Now you’re trying to spend more and more time with me. What’s going on, Eunhyuk? Why the sudden change? There’s no way you could have feelings for me so quickly.”
“But-but I do. I really do.”
“No, no, you can’t. It’s not possible.” Siwon left the room despite Eunhyuk’s urgent protests to make him stay and believe her.
Kibum watched sadly from a corner. He felt his heart break at the apparent sadness on Eunhyuk’s face. He watched as she curled up on the couch and silently began to cry.
“I’m so sorry, Eunhyuk…so sorry…I’ll make it up to you…”

Siwon was getting ready for bed. He’d just taken a shower to clear his head and realized he might’ve made a mistake. He never wanted to hurt Eunhyuk but he’d just unwittingly hurt her.
“I’m sorry, Kibum. I wasn’t able to take care of her.”
“What are you talking about? You’re doing a wonderful job.”
Siwon whirled around and saw Kibum sitting at his desk.
“K-K-Kibum?”
Kibum smiled. “The one and only.”
“But-but aren’t-aren’t you-“
“Dead? Yep, I’m just here to tie up some loose ends before I leave for good.”
“Loose ends?”
“Eunhyuk and her broken heart.” Kibum stood directly in front of Siwon. “She’s crying right now because you rejected her.”
“Wha-what?”
“Yep, all this time, she’s been trying to get close to you, at my urging, and she’s done it. She’s moved on but when she was so close to confessing, you hurt her. I know how you feel. I’ve been watching you for a long time now. I can see the love and confusion, the guilt and pain. Don’t you think it’s time to let go of the guilt and pain and move on? Be happy. Be with Eunhyuk. Marry her and give Donghae the family he deserves. You love her. She loves you. Is there anything more you need?”
Siwon dumbly nodded his head. Kibum smiled. “Alright then. Now go out there and propose to her. I know you have a ring in your desk drawer you’ve been saving on the off chance Eunhyuk might one day love you back. Today’s that day. Now go.”
Siwon grabbed the ring and headed for his bedroom door. “Oh and Siwon, take good care of her. Hurt her in any way and I will come back for you.”
Kibum smiled as he watched Siwon leave.

Siwon went into the living room and found Eunhyuk curled up on the couch, asleep. He leaned down and noticed the still wet tear tracks on her face. He reached out and gently wiped them away.
Eunhyuk slowly opened her eyes and found Siwon staring at her. She instantly sat up and began wiping her eyes.
“Si-Siwon…what-what are you doing here?”
“I just wanted to say I’m sorry for making you cry and that I love you. And now, I have something to ask you.” He bent down on one knee and pulled the box out. “Eunhyuk, will you marry me?”
Eunhyuk looked at the ring then at Siwon. “Yes, I will marry you.”
Siwon smiled as he put the ring on Eunhyuk’s finger. Then he gently wrapped his arms around her and pulled her towards him for their first kiss.
Kibum watched from a distance. Tears silently fell from his eyes. He felt a tug on his shirt and looked down to see Donghae looking up at him.
“Don’t cry, Daddy. Everything will be alright now.”
Kibum smiled. “Yes, yes it will.” The two turned to look at Siwon and Eunhyuk look lovingly at each other.
“I love you, Siwon.”
“I love you, Eunhyuk.” Siwon smile and gently pecked Eunhyuk’s lips. “So when shall we tell Donghae?”
“How about now?” She smiled and placed her hand in Siwon’s. The two went together to Donghae’s room to tell the news.
Kibum smiled as he watched the new family talk with each other. He saw the joy on all their faces. Job well done… He gave one last glance at them before disappearing.

A/N: finally finished this. Sorry it took longer than a month but been so busy with school (it just started again) would’ve done this during my spring break but was so busy so no time…
Hopefully you like this…I put your two prompts together XD
