Epilogue
It was a beautiful day for a wedding. The sun was shining and birds were chirping. Sungmin stood outside, observing the area where the ceremony would take place. Everything looked perfect.
The chairs were in place. A roll up carpet was placed down the middle, acting as the aisle. A few florists were decorating the wooden arbor where Kangin and Leeteuk would become husband and wife. Several florists were arranging bouquets down the aisle, marking the rows of chairs.
Kyuhyun came up behind Sungmin, wrapping his arms around her waist and placing a kiss on her neck. She tilted her head to meet his lips with hers. “How are things going?”
“So far so good.” She turned in his arms. “Shouldn’t you be hanging out with the other boys, out of the way while us girls make sure everything’s set up?”
“Yes but I missed you and wanted to see you in your gown.”
Sungmin smiled. “Well sorry to disappoint but I won’t be in my dress until after the wedding is set up.” She gave him a kiss. “Now go back to the boys and leave us girls to our work.” She gently shoved Kyuhyun back into the building where the reception would be held. She turned back around to see Ryeowook coming out of the kitchen.
“So how’s the food coming along?”
“It’s going well. Everyone is working hard. There’s enough food for everyone and maybe a few leftovers. Oh and I was able to snag a few recipes.” Ryeowook smiled. “Now I’m off to go see Leeteuk since my job is done.”
“Alright, where are the others?”
“Heechul’s over there looking over the arrangements. Donghae is with Leeteuk now. She just finished talking with the band. Kibum is talking with the minister.”
“Alright. Let me just give everything a once-over and then I’ll go join you guys and Leeteuk.”
“okay, I’ll go with you.”
Sungmin and Ryeowook wandered outside, through the chairs, and down the aisle. They inspected every inch of the place, making sure everything was in place.
Once they deemed it perfect, they went inside to check the setting of the reception area. Heechul was supervising the arrangement of the tables and flower centerpieces. Sungmin and Ryeowook wandered through, checking over everything.
“Well, seems like everything is in place. Shall we go check on Leeteuk now?”
“Yes but first, let’s check on the boys and see how they’re doing.”
Sungmin and Ryeowook wandered over to the rooms where the boys were suppose to get ready. Sungmin knocked on the door and the two waited for a moment before Shindong opened the door.
“Oh hi girls. What brings you here?”
“Just wanted to check up on you guys.”
“Oh we’re fine. Just hanging out.”
“Oh alright. Just don’t loose track of time. You guys need to get ready and dressed. The ceremony starts in 3 hours.” Sungmin and Ryeowook smiled and waved before walking away.
They made their way to Leeteuk’s room. Leeteuk was sitting at the vanity while Donghae and Kibum rested on the couch.
“Hey hey hey. You guys ready? You excited, Teukie unni?”
“Uh…yeah…and totally nervous too…”
“Aww, it’s alright, unni. We’re here for you. It’s alright to be nervous on your wedding day. It’s normal for a bride. So shall we start getting you ready?”
Leeteuk waved her hands in protest. “Oh no, you guys get ready first. I don’t need that much time to get ready.”
“Oh nonsense. You’re the bride. You have to look perfect for today.” Heechul came through the door with a smile. “Oh and I brought a little present for you.” She opened the door wider to reveal little Henry.
“OMG! HENNIE!!!!” The girls all surged on Henry, pulling her into the room.
“OMG! How have you been? It’s been forever since we last saw you.”
“Is Zhoumi here? Are you two still dating?”
Henry blushed. “Yes. It’s been 2 years now. Right now he’s with the boys. He’ll probably help get them ready.”
“Oh good. Hankyung will probably need all the help he can get to get those boys ready and dressed on time. And speaking of getting dressed, we should get ready ourselves.”
“Right. Okay me and Heechul will work on Leeteuk. The rest of you get ready and into your bridesmaid dresses. Oh and Henry,” Sungmin looked over at her, “there’s a bridesmaid dress hanging with the others, just for you. You missed the fitting so if it doesn’t feel right, just tell Wookie and she can probably hem it for you.”
“Alright. Thanks unni.”
“Alright Leeteuk. Time to do your hair and makeup. Which first?”
“Hair. I have to do the other girls’ hair too and that takes time.”
“Oh right. Okay then. I’ll go get ready and help the other girls with make up and then we’ll switch.”
XOXOXOXOXO
“I’m so glad you’re here, Zhoumi. You’re such a big help.”
“Oh it’s nothing, gege. How could I miss such an important day?”
“So how have you been?”
“Good, good.”
“How’s Henry?”
“She’s fine. She’s with the girls right now.”
“How long have you two been dating now?”
“2 years.” Zhoumi smiled as he began remembering the last 2 years.
“Aww, that’s great.”
“Yeah. Well enough chit chat, time to get ready. We don’t want the girls to come after us, right?”
Hankyung looked at the clock. “Oh yeah.” He stood up and started waking up some of the guys that had fallen asleep.
“Come on you guys. Wake up. Time to get ready. We have a wedding to go to.”
At the sound of wedding, the boys all shot up and started rushing around, getting dressed. The room soon became a mess as clothes flew around the room.
In an hour, all the boys were dressed with the help of Hankyung and Zhoumi.
Kangin started pacing around the room, his nerves slowly getting the better of him.
“OMG! I’m getting married today. Married. Like for life.” He kept pacing around the room, walking between people and furniture. “Things won’t be the same anymore. OMG!” Kangin collapsed into a chair. Everyone gathered around him.
“Hyung, calm down. Take a deep breath.”
“Don’t worry. Everything will be alright.”
“Just remember that you’re marrying Leeteuk, the love of your life.”
“I’m marrying Leeteuk. I’m-I’m marrying Leeteuk.” Each time he repeated that phrase, his nerves calmed down and his courage returned to him. Soon he was feeling normal again and a little excited for the wedding. He couldn’t wait until he and Leeteuk were husband and wife. To be able to wake up next to her, to have her waiting at home for him after a tiring day at work, to just be near her day after day would be heaven.
XOXOXOXOXO
All the girls were sitting down on the couches, dressed and made up. They were all waiting for the bride to come out.
Sungmin was putting on the finishing touches to her make up. “There all done.” She stepped back to admire her handiwork. Tears came to her eyes. “Oh you look so beautiful, Leeteuk unni. Let’s go out and show the others.”
Sungmin stood up and walked out of the room first. “May I present the bride, Leeteuk unni.” She stepped aside and Leeteuk walked out in her wedding dress.
All the girls got misty-eyed looking at Leeteuk in her wedding dress.
“Oh unni, you look so beautiful.”
“You look positively radiant.”
“Here, take a look.”
The girls moved aside and let Leeteuk look at herself in the three-way mirror.
Leeteuk could only stare at her reflection. She could hardly believe that was her in the mirror. She had never looked so beautiful in all her life. She seemed to glow.
“Oh, I can’t believe you’re getting married today, unni. You’re so lucky.”
“Yeah, the rest of us have to wait a few months.”
“Or a couple of years,” mumbled Ryeowook.
“Aww, it’s alright, Wookie. Yesung is just looking out for you. He cares for you.”
“Yeah but why does he want to wait until after I’m done college to marry me? We can still get married and go to college. That’s what Teukie unni and Kangin are doing. That’s what you and Heechul unni will be doing. Why can’t I do that to?”
“Hey hey hey. No complaints or whining today.” Ryeowook and Sungmin looked towards Kibum. “Today is Leeteuk’s special day and nothing should ruin it, right?”
“Right, right. You’re absolutely right.” Sungmin glanced towards the clock. “Oh my gosh! It’s almost time for the wedding to start. We got to go check on the guys. Okay, you girls stay here while I go check on the guys.”
“I’ll go with you.” Ryeowook stood up.
“Me too.” Donghae followed Sungmin and Ryeowook out the door.
XOXOXOXOXO
The girls went out the hall towards the boys’ room. Sungmin knocked on the door. Again, Shindong opened the door.
“Sungmin. Ryeowook. Donghae. Now don’t you all look lovely.”
“You too Shindong. You look great in that tux. Now are you boys set? The wedding will be starting soon.”
“Yep, we’re all dressed and ready to go. Want to come in and check?”
“Don’t mind if we do.” Sungmin, Ryeowook, and Donghae walked into the room to find the boys seated around the room.
Kyuhyun, Yesung, and Eunhyuk all stood up and smiled when they caught sight of their girlfriends dressed in their bridesmaid gowns. They walked over to them and pulled them towards them for a kiss.
“You look so pretty, Minnie, I just want to eat you up.”
Sungmin laid a hand on Kyuhyun’s chest. “Not now, Kyu. We have things to do.”
“Aww, Wookie. You’re so pretty and cute. I love you.” Yesung gave Ryeowook a little kiss. She couldn’t help blushing. Yesung smiled down at her and held her to his side.
“Oh, Hyukkie, you look so handsome in the tux.”
“You look really pretty, Hae.” Donghae couldn’t help blushing; Eunhyuk rarely gave her a compliment.
“Alright, line up and let us take a look at you.”
The boys stood in a row as Sungmin, Ryeowook, and Donghae walked down the row. Every so often they would fix something, be it their hair or tie or jacket. They smiled when they all looked presentable.
“You all look so handsome.” Sungmin glanced at the clock. “Oh, we better all go to our places. The ceremony should be starting in half an hour.” They ushered the boys out of the room and into the hall. “I need at least two of you boys to go greet and seat the guests. One of you stay with Kangin and watch over him until the ceremony begins.”
“I’ll stay with Kangin.”
“We’ll handle the guests.”
“Thanks, Shindong, Siwon, and Eunhyuk. Alright, you other boys, come with us.”
Everyone split off to their places.
XOXOXOXOXO
Sungmin, Ryeowook, and Donghae came back into the room.
“Everyone ready?”
“Yep, shall we get into our places?”
“Not yet. One final check.” Sungmin turned towards Leeteuk.
“Something old?” Leeteuk pointed to her veil.
“Something new?” She pointed to her dress.
“Something borrowed?” She pointed to her jewelry.
“Something blue?” She pointed to the little blue roses that held her veil to her hair.
Sungmin smiled. “Alright. I guess you’re all set. Let’s go line up out in the hall. The ceremony will be starting in 10 minutes now. Everyone ready?”
They nodded their heads. Sungmin smiled and led them out into the hall.
XOXOXOXOXO
“Alright everyone. Places please. Places. The ceremony will be starting in 5. I repeat the wedding will be starting in 5 minutes.” Sungmin walked among the couples lined up and checked to make sure everything was in place.
When everything had been checked over and fixed, she took her place beside Kyuhyun. She smiled at everyone. “Alright, time to start the ceremony.”
The music started and one by one, the couples walked down the aisle. They took their places at the end of the aisle.
Soon the music changed and the wedding march started. All the guests stood up and turned towards the back. Leeteuk stepped out, smiled, and started her walk down the aisle towards Kangin and a bright new future.
LOL XD like I’d end it there…
Continuation:
“Park Leeteuk, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health, til death do you part?”
Leeteuk looked into Kangin’s eyes and smiled. “I do.”
The minister smiled and turned towards Kangin.
“Kim Kangin, do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in health, til death do you part?”
Kangin smiled into Leeteuk’s eyes. “I do.”
“Please exchange the rings.”
Kangin mouthed “I love you” as he placed the ring on Leeteuk’s finger. She responded as she place the ring of his finger. Ryeowook couldn’t help dabbing at her wet eyes at the beautiful scene before her.
“It gives me great pleasure to now pronounce you man and wife.” The minister smiled. “You may kiss the bride.”
Kangin smiled and pulled Leeteuk towards him for a romantic, loving kiss. They pulled away, smiling. Everyone began clapping. Sungmin, Donghae, Ryeowook, Henry, and even Kibum and Heechul were wiping at the tears that fell from their eyes at seeing the love and joy on the newlyweds’ faces.
Kangin and Leeteuk made their way back down the aisle, hand in hand, to the reception area. Their friends followed after and were the first to give them congratulatory praises and hugs.
“That was such a beautiful ceremony. Just beautiful.”
“You and Kangin make such a beautiful couple.”
“Thank you so much everyone. This never would’ve been possible without you.”
“Oh stop now. You’re going to make us cry even more and ruin our make up.”
“We really want to thank all of you for all your help.”
“Oh thank us later. We still have a wedding reception to go to.” Everyone laughed. “We’re going to go freshen up. You guys hang around here. Let the guests in, enjoy yourselves. We won’t be gone long.” And with that, the girls disappeared back to their room to redo the make up the tears had washed away or ruined.
XOXOXOXOXO
The reception was a great hit. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the food.
Soon it was time to cut the cake. Everyone gathered around as Kangin and Leeteuk cut the cake together. They fed each other and even did a love shot together.
After some dancing and more eating, it was time for the speeches.
Leeteuk and Kangin stood up together. “We would like to give a very special thank you to all our close friends. If it wasn’t for them, this never would’ve happened. With their help, they made us realize how perfect we were for each other. They brought us together. Sungmin over here came up with the plan where Kangin would propose to me. A very special thank you to her and her meddling skills.” Sungmin blushed. Leeteuk smiled at her and everyone. “And now for the best man and maid of honor.” Leeteuk gestured to Hankyung and Heechul to take the floor.
They nodded and smiled to the new couple. “What to say…what to say…Well I can’t think of anything other than they’re absolutely perfect for each other. They were two idiots in love and without our interference, we never would’ve had this lovely wedding.” A few people chuckled.
Hankyung looked towards the couple. “I want to say you two are perfect for each other and we all hope you live a wonderful happy life together. May your love last for as long as you both shall live.” Hankyung raised his glass. Everyone followed suit. “To true love. Kangin and Leeteuk.”
“Kangin and Leeteuk.” Everyone smiled and took a sip of their drinks.
Kangin and Leeteuk looked at each other and then their friends.
“I’m so glad we all found our true loves.” They looked at the couples around them - Hankyung and Heechul, Yesung and Ryeowook, Shindong and Sunny, Eunhyuk and Donghae, Siwon and Kibum, Kyuhyun and Sungmin, and Zhoumi and Henry - and smiled to themselves.
Everyone was enjoying themselves, smiling, laughing, and talking. They all knew that everything would be alright now and that gave them the greatest joy of all.
