It was really fun to be in Flagstaff this weekend, even if Kathryn's dad isn't totally around in the reality part of the world. He bought us Chinese food and paid for the gas to get there/back, so I can't complain. We took off around 3pm on Friday, singing some MSI at the top of our lungs while I sent Edwin some really lame picture/voice messages about snoring rainbows and tranny ice cream. I wish all of my friends had texting options, since that's the only way I can really stay in touch anymore. I hardly use my computer unless I'm burning a new mix CD for Toaster or checking my e-mail super fast. But otherwise! I finally got a chance to meet Chase and hang out with him at the mall. We all went out to lunch and my portion of the meal only cost $1.75, which is the cheapest I've ever had to pay for something to eat at a restaurant. Awesome. That's all I have to say.

I couldn't sleep well on Saturday night so I ended up writing for a while, then passing out for two hours. My phone is partially evil and the alarm didn't sound at 5:10 like it should have... instead it just vibrated. I was lucky it was in my pocket. So I woke Kathryn up - she is the lightest sleeper ever! I fucking love it. All you have to do is gently say her name and she's completely awake. We were driving back from Flag before 6am, switching off in Camp Verde like we did on the way up. I dropped her off at her house and then headed up to the airport to pick up Edwin. He'd been in Chicago all week visiting his dad and eating all of this deliciousfoodwhichmakesmeslightlyenvious.

When we got back to his apartment he uploaded all of his pictures/videos to his computer, from the party we went to together last Friday (where he dyed his hair blue and I dyed mine pink for the night) and from his trip. Oh man, some of those were so funny. His dad's reaction to his blue hair was the absolute best. I started passing out towards the end of it all, so we took a quick nap together. He woke me up when he had to go to work around 2 pm and I felt like I had been run over, repeatedly, by a train. I was so disoriented. I got home, checked my mail from the last few days, made some lunch... Was at Kathryn's by 5:30 pm for our 6 o'clock interview at Zumie's. There were 25 people at that group interview.

Zumie's is insanity. Our interview process consisted of: getting into teams, singing, modeling, making an infomercial, and relay racing. It also took about three hours. THREE HOURS. We didn't make it back to Kathryn's house until 9 pm, where we had an incredibly delicious (ledicious?) dinner. Hopefully they give us a call back in the next few days? But if not, no big deal! I still have a small stack of applications to fill, plus a few to do on the internet. Hopefully someone will hire me soon... I am going crazy, and gas is a bitch to pay for. $56 to fill up my tank? Uh-uh.

I was home by 10 pm and talked to Chrissy for a while (our new roommate) and had a chance to meet her boyfriend, Robert. They both took off before 10:30. I really like talking to Chrissy and she's loads of fun to hang out with. Sometimes I wish she was around more often, but then I realize it's probably for the best and definitely the reason why her and my mom aren't fighting. My mom is a total control freak, but that's nothing new, either. I listened to her make a mini rant earlier about how she's going to "clean up Chrissy's act" and essentially make her a better person. Or whatever. I have a hard time listening to that kind of thing.

Things between me and my mom are pretty good right now. Though I'm sure it's only because we hardly see each other. I make a point of not being home too often. I spend the night at either Kathryn's or Edwin's every single night (and both of you are angels for that, seriously). My mom still goes into my room and invades my privacy and rearranges my furniture and acts like nothing is wrong with that. She still talks to me from time to time like I'm five years old. I still get annoyed with that and point it out every time it happens. We still bicker back and forth on it. And she will never understand, or learn, or try to do either of those unless I leave. I need a job. Badly. But for now I have home-away-from-homes from the two nicest people living in Phoenix.

After putting away some laundry I took off again for Edwin's apartment. We walked around Cave Creek for a long time... I got him to go barefoot for a while with me! Everyone needs to start walking around barefoot. It's amazing. I'm at this point where I don't want to wear shoes unless I absolutely have to, and even then I end up taking them off at the first opportunity. We stopped at Walgreens and I got us both drinks while he applied there. For a third job. I think he's a little crazy, but I like that. I'm also still completely amazed that he works every day of the week, every week. When we got back in we hung out with his roommate Jeryl, teased the living Hell out of Nobu... and died. Died hard. We all decided to call it a night at 3 am. He gave me a shoulder rub and I promptly passed out on his floor.

Aaannnd... now I am back to filling out applications and trying to catch up on some other things, like pen-pal letters. Someone hire me already!

hanging out, tranny ice cream, interview, travel, kathryn, job hunting, edwin, zumie's is insanity
