Life as a 24 year old isn't much different as life as a 23 year old.  I think I'm much more aware of what is at stake these days...and I'm constantly striving to retain whatever idealism I have leftover from my teens but that doesn't satisfy these days.  All is not completely lost, I found a Mars Volta CD and although their lyrics are cryptic and probably speak volumes to an angst driven teen, it makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

The economic crisis is slowly taking its toll on small business and has moved across niche market and verticals, and I must admit it is very unsettling.  I can't take a chance to look on the negative side of things, because I know that opportunity is there it only needs to be uncovered.  I think anyone that works in any industry is starting to feel the pressure.  As for those with bills, they are starting to feel the fear creeping up on them, and if it hasn't already then we're living different realities.

However, this dark cloud isn't raining on my parade because I come from a different school of thought.  I'm expecting snow and I'm dressing the part and while it might not be the best I could do, I took a break from preparing, to enjoy a wonderful dinner with Donkey (its a term of endearment) at PF Changs.  Those spare ribs are so addicting as are their spring rolls when paired with a nice chilled Pinot Grigio although I should have had a Chardonnay.    I also had dinner at Miami Prime not too long ago, and I would have a strong drink there rather than actually enjoy a meal...like the Scallopini.... yes.

Lately, it seems like there aren't enough hours in the day and while I complain, I actually do enjoy the long hours at work.  It's challenging and I don't feel bored.  Tension in the air definately increases productivity, and at the very least it allows me to hone my skills when it comes to working under pressure.  I'm not exactly a Type A, but I enjoy the stress.

I like the new Kid Cudi track - Day and Night.  I am loving how early 90s beats are working their way into mainstream again.

Has anyone else noticed how horrible traffic is lately? I was on 9-95 for over an hour the other day I'm not sure exactly how much traffic that new express lane alleviated but it doesn't seem like it made a difference. I've already come to terms with 836 Eastbound traffic... I just turn up some early 2000 eurotrash lounge music and enjoy the ride....
