You probably don't know or care but...

Kamehameha schools are in the news right now. They are private schools established after the death of the last descendent of Kamehameha the Great. Basically the will stated that with private funding it would be a school for Native Hawaiians. Now people are suing the school for not admitting non-Hawaiian students. Shit like this makes me so mad. Not only have the Hawaiians lost all of their land, most of their rights, but now this shit. If you're Native American you only have to prove that you're 1/16 or something like that to receive grants, but if you're Hawaiian you have to prove you're half Hawaiian. Not to mention there are barely any benefits because no one cares because there isn't enough population to voting weight.

My boyfriend is native Hawaiian and doesn't want to go back because all the injustice that has, and is happening to his people. He talks about how his people and his culture is going extinct. It breaks my heart to hear him talk like that and to hear things like this lawsuit are still breaking down the Hawaiian people. Lawsuits are such a white persons tactic. These people want to get into a Hawaiian school but they live with no aloha. It figures, now even more money is going to be taken away from the Hawaiian people. I pray that Kamehameha schools are still around for my children to attend.
