Garrus is really concerned about the thing in Jaime's spine. It's an alien A.I. designed to turn you into a horrible super weapon and ... hey that's what happened to Saren. Fortunately the Reach just sound like more douchey batarians and not Reapers, but he still thinks that they are a menace and the right thing for Jaime to do is somehow reverse engineer the tech so that it can be disabled for him and for any other things like it. Ronan assured him that the scarab is trying to be good, so Garrus isn't as insistent on this point as he could be.

He's pretty happy with the way Jaime has handled his circumstances, however! He's a pretty level-headed individual, especially considering his age and his alien roboparasite situation. He sympathizes with Jaime over losing someone in battle; he would have revealed what happened to his team on Omega whether or not Jaime had subconscious adventures in his brain, because hey he's going through that hurt too. But he also thinks that Jaime won't ever really trust him because of his opinions re: Batman.

Garrus is pretty tolerant of it, actually. I mean he's already had to subsist on military rations back when he was on duty with the turian military, and on top of that he's been working with humans a lot in canon, so it's not a huge change. That being said, when vacation rolls around he is so going to the Citadel and getting a good meal and bringing back something he can drink every once in a while.

I know for sure that he likes Janelle Monae because Tessa said so at one point!!1 otherwise I tend to go to this wikipedia page and click around a bit until I find something. he is def into the indie concert scene, probably supports local bands.
