I figure it might be helpful to pimp my requested fandoms, write why I picked them. Hope it's helpful.
Nero Wolfe: I love the characters and their relationships to each other. That's always been the attraction for me. I've never really been invested in any of the book plots, never tried to solve them in my head, never really cared who the real killer was. What I couldn't get enough of was how Archie and Wolfe lived together. What their rules were, where the boundaries were set, who was allowed to push and how hard. And the people who were allowed to see all of it. In fic, I've really enjoyed Archie/Wolfe in any configuration, slashy, or otherwise.
My Optional Details: I'd love to see something that explores the relationships between Wolfe, Archie, and Saul - post Orrie's death. Or maybe a look at Archie's past. I like the idea of him having a secret.
Green Arrow: Of all the DCU families, this is my favorite. The Arrows have their own brand of desperately dysfunctional. The way they react to each other's faults is just - they're hard with each other, brutally hard - but there are always hugs in there. And I love that about them. There's a fun “hanging on to one another for dear life” aspect they've got going on and it never gets old for me. Specifically, Connor Hawke is hands down my favorite of the bunch. I think his character can be taken into far more directions than he is generally given credit for. I'd love to see slash, maybe a first time type deal, but gen is welcome. Maybe a look at business as usual in the Arrow household.
My Optional Details: I'd like to see something that digs into the relationships of the Arrow family. Maybe what they all really think of each other, and their lives, maybe something about their secrets, what they love and who.
Green Lantern: I just recently started reading the back issues of GL. Major motivation was to catch all Green Arrow appearances, but I started to get a taste for Hal and his relationship with Ollie. I've found Hal to be unexpectedly interesting. This is a guy with some serious conflicts and a heavy past - and I'm attracted to that sort of thing. I really like the history he has with the Arrows, Ollie, Dinah and Roy. There's a fascinating chemistry in that car wreck. Something about how it all looks to Hal would be right up my alley. I would not at all mind Hal/Ollie, or just Serious Male Bonding. I wouldn't object to some sort of Hal/Roy, particularly since I've never seen it before.
My Optional Details: I would love to see something that takes a long hard look at Hal's relationship with Ollie - what changed and what managed to stay the same. They've got a lot of history, their own little mythology, and I've a serious jones just to see something that talks about the fact that they're brothers.
What I like to read: I like secret histories, and longing, denial, excuses to use disguise, and the dynamics of a self-made family. Banter, slyness, a little neurosis, office sex and alley fights and rapid fire telephone conversations. I'm good with death fic, open to original characters, love close male friendships. I'm a sucker for hurt/comfort. I like genderfuckery, award silences and friendly name calling. I like it when characters inexplicably end up living with each other. I love it when usually restrained characters loose their tempters and/or their shit, and am not against a dose of emo here and there. My only real boundaries are serious non-con, and chan.
