Roxas looked off to his side, finding some relief that his guitar looked largely undamaged. He'd managed to keep it from hitting the ground directly and as a result, he found himself deriving a small amount of contentment from knowing that he'd still be able to play.
Not noticing the hand offered to help him up, the boy clamored to his feet, stretching his bruised spine a little before turning to the stage.
"I can't believe you did that, you moron!" Challo was already at the edge, scolding him like a big sister would, "What if you cracked your head!?"
Having people worry about him out of personal concern was a new thing to him. The past couple days had just introduced him to the concept and it was still sinking in really. He managed an embarrassed chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head, "Ah yeah, sorry."
"Sorry? SORRY?! I- I can't believe what's all you've got to say!" And in a huff, the drummer stormed off. Stopping for a moment Quentin gave Roxas a thumbs-up before darting off after the girl. He admittedly had been getting hung up over Challo lately and it was almost funny watching the two interact.
Disconnecting his guitar and slinging it over his shoulder, he began to push through the crowd of students until he noticed a particular one. He paused as his eyes met hers. Recognition flashed as he hastily glanced both ways and then reached out to take Anne's hand. If she'd opt to come with him, he'd lead her off to the side near part of the lunch room that wasn't packed with students waiting for the next band to come up. And if she'd refuse, well, he'd take it as a sign and just move along.

She was so focused on trying to look that she didn't notice the small ripple in the crowd until he was walking right past him. And right then, she was staring at him with those big blue eyes of hers focused on his own. And then she felt his hand collecting hers and she wanted to pull away, but part of her was more worried about what kind of relationship Anne had with this boy. Maybe he was someone important to her, too? So, she bit her lip and forced herself to follow. Hoping that whatever this was about? She could duck out of quick. It was already enough pretending to be Clara and Robin's friend. Not him, too. Especially considering who he looked like.

His inner thoughts briefly reflected as an almost apologetic expression on his face for a moment before he looked away, hastily fumbling something out of his pockets. In no time at all, he fished out a notebad before clearing his throat and making eye contact again, "Uhm, you're Anne, right? Anne Maxwell?" He paused a moment, a weak chuckle escaping him before he spoke up again, "I'm not sure if you remember me, I'm Lucen. We met over the summer at the pool."
Part of him cringed on the inside. He wasn't lying, but rather his voice inside was saying something completely different.
"What's your name... again?"

That left, then. The bad, of course. And that was the awkward silence. The uncertainty that stretched in it as she followed him was almost unbearable. She wanted to tuck away from him. To just escape right then and there. Especially when she saw that apologetic look-- foreign and yet she knew that expression. The resemblance...
She strayed her gaze but only for a second. Soon enough, he was clearing his throat and... albeit with reluctance, she returned her attention to him. She stared at him... before she remembered to nod. Right... Right, that was her name. Had to focus. She took note of the notepad, too, then. But if she was curious about it, she didn't show it.
Lucen... Not a name that rang any bells. But something about the pool...
"What... What is it?"

He rubbed the back of his neck for a moment, hastily piecing together how he was going to say things. "Look... I still feel really bad about that. So I wanted to say I was sorry about it and if I could, I wanted to offer something to make up for it."
There was a brief pause before he spoke up again, "How about a pizza and a movie? Any movie you want. I'll pay for you and a friend to go."
That feeling of vague familiarity wasn't leaving him and frankly it was making him uneasy. Faint bits of a feeling stirring around inside, like glitter in the bottom of a snow globe being shaken for the first time in ages.
"Before you answer that... did you ever go by any other names?"

The irony was uncanny. Someone with the face of Roxas. Wanting to apologize to her. Of all the people in this new world, it had to be someone that looked like him. Cruelty knew no bounds. Her first instinct was to say it wasn't his fault. But she shut out the words before they came. Because that wasn't what he was referring to. No, something about the pool...
What happened there? He looked so uneasy. And that just made her feel the same way in turn. Whatever had happened, it was something that was important enough that this 'Lucen' was going out of his way for it. Xion fiddled a bit with the hood of her top, thinking. Just what was... Well, either way, it seemed that he was inclined to do something for her. Although pizza? Movie? What were those? She really needed to brush up on things fast. As she dwaddled along in thought, she almost didn't catch his last question. Almost.
But the sudden widening of her eyes and the almost double-take. For a split second, there was that lingering sadness that was ever commonplace floating on the surface of her gaze... This couldn't be happening. This wasn't him. She was hearing things.
"...What did you just say?"

He just couldn't put his finger on it.
Roxas waited for the girl he knew as 'Anne', she'd been quiet. He wondered if whatever happened between her and Lucen was that serious or maybe it was his alter-ego's nature to make a big deal of nothing. Perhaps she couldn't remember the event either. It was moments like this that almost made him glad he'd been as anti-social as he was, the whole of trying to understand and be nice to people was a great deal harder than his Other made it look.
And then the reaction came. That momentary expression of shock, followed by sadness. He began to think that either something gravely serious transpired between these two or something else was weighing exceptionally heavily on this girl's mind.
"I asked if you ever went by any other names. I'm sorry if it's a little strange. Just..." He paused a moment. Should he have said that? Well, it was too late to go back on anything and really, he had no reason to think that she meant anything particularly ill toward him. "it sounds lame, but I feel like we've met before." He caught himself as he glanced aside, his expression looking somewhere between troubled and embarrassed. "I mean before the pool."

That made it hard to concentrate on things, too. Although she was getting better. But the current situation she had fallen into? It was sending her floundering. He acted so much like him. His tone of voice. The gestures, the unease that registered in his face. And especially the way he spoke and the words he chose to use. But it couldn't be. This couldn't be him. Xion reminded herself over and over again. This was Lucan. She couldn't fool herself. Couldn't decide off of a whim. But still, her heart was beating so hard, it felt like it was caught up in her throat.
Xion slowly shook her head.... and then shook it again with more firmness. It was enough to take over this girl's existence. She didn't know who Lucan was to her, but if they had a rut, it was best to just... but something about what he said. Feel like they'd met before? Had another name? ...No, no.
"...Sorry, I. ...Forg--" But she couldn't even finish that sentence because the irony dripped from those words. "Sorry."
She was backing up now. Her hand unconsciously gripping the air at her side, almost as if she was going to try and summon her keyblade. But it was more out of reflex than anything. And all the while, she couldn't meet his eyes again. Her hair helped shroud her view of him anyway. For once, she was glad to have it longer. Although it wasn't to her liking, it served as a convenient way to hide her face in times like these.

However as much as he wanted to press her for answers, he doubted that would go well. She was clearly uncomfortable and they were at least schoolmates, he didn't want to risk worsening whatever rift there was between 'them'. So as much as he wanted talk to her some more, he figured that maybe all of this was best. The lunch hour was almost over anyway and he had classes to get back to.
"Uh... I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable." Roxas flipped through the pages of the notepad, hastily whipping out a pencil from a little band attached to the pad and began jotting something down in it. In less than a moment, he tore the paper from it and offered it to the girl, "I don't want to cause you any more problems, but I'll stand by that offer I made you."
Something in his gut was telling him that if that was all he said, she'd never even think of contacting him again. Whatever was bothering her, it seemed it hadn't gotten this bad until he pulled her aside and he was willing to bet that if she could avoid him, she would. "My number's on that page... even if you don't want to take that offer. I'd like to talk to you again sometime!"
Roxas nervously glanced about as he'd finished what he wanted to say. He hadn't meant to yell quite like that and he really wasn't in the mood to make a scene so early in his stay here. Thankfully however, it didn't look like anyone made note of how things must've looked, at least no one that he saw. And then there was just his preference to avoid getting Lucen into trouble.

It wasn't until he shouted the last bit all of a sudden that Xion finally looked to him, big blue eyes the size of saucers. Talk to him again... She wasn't sure if she wanted that. Perhaps, buried underneath all the denial and all the guilt she did. And perhaps considering who he resembled, especially with that nervous tick of his, that was reason, too. But whatever the second hand of it, the first and the one she seemed set on convincing herself to take it was that perhaps keeping tabs on him... wouldn't hurt. The jewels were there and a threat... a threat that no one knew. A threat he could get involved in, could...
So, she took it carefully and glimpsed at it a moment before slipping it in her pocket. And then her eyes strayed back to him. A little nod... "I'll... I'll see you later then, R-" And just then, the bell ran loudly. Xion jumped from the sound of it. Still not used to its abrupt interruptions. Although, in retrospect? It was by luck that it had sounded then. After collecting her nerves, she nodded again, quickly, her voice small.
"...S-See you, Lucen."
And then she was off into the wave of muttered bodies as the other students filtered out of the lunch room. Slipping quickly out of sight.
