At night, Seiya could slip out into the dark and truly be himself. Herself. That was part of the magic that led him to climb down from his window--jump down, even better. Even if Kou Seiya's parents were to look at the figure escaping through the yard, they would not see their son, but a young, dark-haired girl dressed in black.
Very little black at that.
The summer air was warm and thick with the promise of coming rain, dark clouds blocking out the stars. It disappointed Fighter than she couldn't see the sky, but it was enough to be female again that it didn't really matter. School was out for what seemed like forever and a day to someone who had been a Japanese student; it was past time she got down to business and found some shards. After some time, the cell phone obliged and began to beep.
Fighter found herself looking at what seemed like a perfectly quiet street. The houses were dark but for a window here or there as far as she could see and no cars were on the road. Everyone was in for the night, and probably asleep at this hour.
There was nothing but a boy standing under a street lamp, a dog seated at his side.
And the phone was bringing Fighter towards them.
