Where could she be? )
"Do you know him?" she asked.
She wondered how Flutter could fly, since he didn't have wings. Flying wouldn't be as nice as riding on Ken-chan's shoulder, of course, but it would be interesting to know how anyway. Maybe it was the same energy that made him powerful, since he said he was strong too.

"Come on! I'll show you where he lives!"

"So what are you, Flutter? You said you're strong, and if you've been his friend for years, you musta come here like I did. You don't seem like a ghost or a shinigami, you're too little! Maybe you're like Jiggly's hairthingys?" The shinigami took no notice of any confusion caused by her words.

"I'm a Shugo Chara," He explained solemnly. "Or a Guardian Character. We're born from the eggs of people's hearts... so basically, we're like guardians for kids. If you can see me, that probably means yours hasn't been born yet."
With that, he gestured to the sliding doors. Kukai opened the door for them and smiled, "Ah, sorry about that! It's nice to meet you, Yachiru-chan!"

Yachiru beamed up at Kukai, "Hi Cookie! I found Flutter, and he brought me a better way here."

He called to his parents, "Hey, I have a friend over!" to which he got something that vaguely resembled a "that's nice, dear" if Kukai and Daichi strained to hear the parents over the blaring TV. Shrugging, Kukai grinned, "Flutter? Is that what we're calling Daichi now? Awesome."
At this point, the Cookie nickname didn't even register - he was so used to everyone calling him that - that he belatedly amended, "And it's Kukai. But ah, right, you want sushi, right?"
He gestured to the table. "So here you go! Enjoy!"

It was delicious, and hopefully Kukai hadn't wanted anything to eat, because Yachiru's stomach was temporarily appeased and the dishes on the table completely clean in a matter of seconds. She stepped away from the table and gave the other two a radiant grin, showing that she'd most definitely enjoyed the food, just in case the speed at which it had been devoured hadn't clued them in.

Poor Daichi: he was honestly too shell-shocked to really say anything. Like a good guardian fairy, he'd fainted right on his partner's shoulder.

Poor Daichi did not recover so well, so the small shinigami asked, "Hey, hey, is Flutter alright!?" Yachiru did bounce the few steps between herself and Kukai and prod at the tiny person with one of her small fingers, seeing if he'd wake up. Flutter didn't seem to be wounded in any way, so she wasn't sure what could have made him fall over like that.
"Are you okay too? You stood still for a really long time!"

Kukai, on the other hand, just sheepishly shrugged. "Sorry, kiddo. I've just never seen anyone eat that much." (That was a blatant lie: his friend Utau'd been able to put away equal amounts, but... she was also older than Kukai. By like, a lot.)

And as for Kukai, she tilted her head to the side, as if this were an entirely surprising thing to hear. "Really? It wasn't that much!" she declared, smiling. Yachiru could down piles of food, given the opportunity. It was enough that she wasn't hungry anymore though.
Her eating habits were unusual, even for the top level shinigami. In Soul Society, only stronger spirits, those with the potential to become Soul Reapers, ever became hungry at all. Eating was more habit than necessity for others. So one would assume it was normal for the captains and vice captains to eat frequently. Yachiru, though, put them all to shame. She saw nothing out of the ordinary in this.

If she wasn't hungry - please let her not be hungry! Their house couldn't handle it - then maybe he could take her outside and let her talk for a little bit?
Kukai shrugged, "You wanna see our koi pond? It's right out here," as he gestured towards the sliding door. "Or I mean... I guess we could talk here before I take you home."
